You Can’t Game The System

You Can’t Game The System ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

It really annoys me when someone says “Make it a great day” - or words to that effect. The more skill I gain from living consciously, the less ability I have to “make” things happen.

And I used to teach people how to create their reality, essentially Law of Attraction before Esther Hicks began channeling Abraham.
What is *your* inner Napoleon like?

When you try to make it a great day, it implies that the day needs making great. That the day wasn’t great to begin with. That you need to *do* something to make that day great. Make the day great again.

Someone could argue it’s about making up your mind that the day will be great. That it’s about your mindset. That you can control the day through your thoughts and your actions.

Can’t you feel the energy of force and contraction? That’s the opposite of openness and expansion.

When we try to make something happen from our mind alone, it’s our inner Napoleon trying to control everything. It’s the little will, the personality part of you, that thinks it’s the sole creator of reality.

Basically it takes essential truths and distorts them. Very sneaky.

Because Consciousness creates reality, you as Consciousness create your reality, but you’re not the only expression of Consciousness, you’re the sole expression of You as Consciousness. With full awareness and appreciation of all the other aspects of Consciousness expressing in form as well.

What happens to me is that I go through a shift in Consciousness, I experience expansion in my life, I find myself at a new level of awareness. Things I felt were solid and real collapse or dissipate, techniques I relied upon stop working. I “upgrade” them (each time they become more subtle with more profound - and more unpredictable - results).

And then my inner Napoleon creeps in and tries to game the system. Because I’ve been doing this work for 37 years, and I’m an expert.

But systems don’t work any more, if they ever did. When you try to make reality that way, there will always be a glitch or a loophole. No matter how perfect your mindset or vision board or repetitive affirmations, your 3 D printer will have gravel in it or a software error.

So I hit a plateau, spend time spinning my wheels, shadow boxing Consciousness, until my current version of Napoleon gets exiled to Elba, and expansion mystically and magically begins again.

When I stand perfectly still, everything in this moment is perfect. There is nothing to want or need. This life is amazing, this world is stunningly beautiful. All is as it should be. All is very, very well.

And then I look at Twitter. Or get triggered on Facebook. Propelled somewhere other than Now.

And no, I’m not on my way to India with my mother’s ashes. And no, we don’t own our own home on Vashon Island... and no, not everyone in my life is living happily ever after (in their current form or story line).

This reality is unfolding out of infinite possibilities, beyond our mind’s ability to imagine. As Consciousness you are immensely complex and multifaceted - what gets manifested comes from You as True Creative Essence, You as Highest Source. It’s already perfect and becoming more so in every moment.  There is no do or try.

People forget that Abraham-Hicks stresses the Art of Allowing. Allow it a great day.

Manifesting Effortless Miracles (Are Easier Than You Think)

Manifesting Effortless Miracles (Are Easier Than You Think) ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Four weeks ago I moved both my home and my office, and it feels like I've been sorting through boxes forever.  Today I excavated a bunch of notes from various training programs I've taken, and, my goodness, what a lot of information is in all those pages.

Just looking at them (not even reading them) feels overwhelming. And something I remember from one of the programs group calls was someone complaining how many hours she spent each morning implementing the techniques. She was meticulously doing *every*single*action* to make something happen in 30 days or less.

That's a good way to make nothing happen in 30 *years* or more!!

But we're so programmed to believe that if you work hard and do everything perfectly, good stuff will happen.

However, when you're working as Consciousness, the opposite is true.

Effort, and trying hard, stops your creativity as Consciousness. Perfectionism paralyzes us into inaction.

If you're trying really hard to magnetize your energy to attract something, effort repels it instead.

Consciousness works effortlessly. Actions taken as Consciousness are playful. Systems and processes only work if they're done with curiosity, and improvisationally.

Intentions need to be open-ended. Techniques need to be used with a beginners' mind. In fact, you often have to trick your mind, because it's the part of you that wants to be in control, it wants to KNOW exactly how to do it, and be very specific about what is going to be created.

On the Transformation Game  board, there's a Miracle Square, and when you land on it, you're instantly relieved of all your pain and can gracefully go forward to any step on your path that you choose.

Going forward as Consciousness, you have an infinite amount of Miracle Squares in front of you. And any step, in any direction, can effortlessly land you in a reality bigger than you can possible imagine.

Life for me now, is like a full immersion Transformation Game. Every morning is a new beginning. Every door a portal into a new reality.

Here's the thing, your mind wants directions, your mind wants a system. When you start to navigate as Consciousness, it will be VERY uncomfortable! It will throw up all sorts of thoughts to take you back to it's comfort zone, which is familiar but limiting.  Follow your heart, be intuitive, be spontaneous, and see what happens to you!

5 Ways to Stay True to your Self

Staying True to your Self ©2014 Joan M. Newcomb

How do you stay in the present moment with your new identity, after going through transformative experiences, around old friends and family members?

Until recently, I lived on an island of about 10,000 people.  I described it as a cross between Andy Griffith's Mayberry, and Northern Exposure's Roslyn (except there were deer, not moose).  It is a timeless place, which gives you grounding, but also a feeling of never changing.  It can be invalidating when you come home after some huge experience and everyone views you through the lens of the past.

Also, how do you hold your sense of Self when life starts to accelerate?

Sometimes we're thrust into times of either hardships or successes, and it can be challenging to hold on to a sense of who we are. (Successes can be as difficult as hardships, if not more so).  The situations may be intended to break you out of old limitations, and may be opportunities to bring out the best in you.

And, along the same lines, how do you stay True to your Essence and inner values in new ventures and around new people?

You get promoted, or change jobs, you move to across the country, or even overseas. Circumstances which require you to adapt to your new culture, and yet you don't want to lose yourself in the process.

Here are five suggestions that have helped me:

1.  Stay clear.  This may seem like an impossibility in a crises.  Regardless of the emotions going on, there is a part of you that is above them all.  It may be your Observer, it may be the still, small voice within, I like to think of it as my Higher Self.  View the situation from It's perspective.

2.  Stay present. Remind yourself what day it is, how old you are, what your name is.  Don't let circumstances revert you back to childhood.  In the present moment, decisions can be obvious.  Do the next indicated thing.

3.  Stay grounded., If things are changing really fast, you may not want to be grounded, it feels like doing so will slow you down.  You can adjust your grounding, it doesn't have to be a redwood. It can be a laser beam.  I've upgraded my grounding to wifi, a very easy way to stay connected and still vibrating at a higher speed.

4.  Stay not resistant.  Don't fight the river, don't try to change outside circumstances.  People can project towards you, you don't have to act out their projections.

5.  Stay effortless.  Keep it simple.  If you're trying to hard, you're either spinning your wheels or pushing yourself backwards!  Trust your Expanded Self, the highest aspect of youself, it has your best interest at heart.

It helps to practice these things *before* challenges come up, so play with these this week and see what happens!
