Act Before You're Ready

Act Before You're Ready ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

I'm scheduling Meetups in December and January and, boy, am I exhausted! Which is pretty funny, because I haven't left my desk all day.

When you plan to do something, a part of you goes out and does it. As Consciousness you're not fettered by time and space so anything you imagine you instantaneously experience - as Consciousness.

Visualization is great but another step needs to happen.

In actually scheduling these meetups (as opposed to just thinking about them), I've set an intention and set energy in motion for them to actually happen. As Consciousness I can go everywhere, do anything, be anything, but nothing comes into form unless action is taken.

In order for us to expand into a new experience, we have to move beyond our comfort zone.  We don't do that if we wait until we are ready. We'll never be ready when we stay where we are.

Giving ourselves a deadline, putting it on our calendar, provides an anchor point for the manifestation to happen. It also initiates inner growth.

We don't have to be ready when we schedule something. We'll be ready when it happens.

Don't let fear deter you. Our bodies feel fearful of the future, because they only exist in the present moment.  Non-existence equals death to bodies, so when we try to drag them into our future planning, they feel like they're gonna die!

Don't let your mind take you out. You brain has a collection of cells responsible for organizing your life, and holds such boundaries like 'don't cross the street without holding your mom's hand'.  You may be 56 years old, but your mind is still trying to keep you safe that way.  It will come up with all sorts of reasons why it's a bad idea, especially if you are taking a bold step towards happiness and freedom.

This doesn't mean you have to leap without looking, or dive in without any preparation (although that tends to be my way of doing things; I'm going title my autobiography 'Belly-Flopping Through Life')!
You can plan before you're ready, too.

Great visions are just grandiose dreams without solid plans of actions.  But you can paralyze yourself by wanting to do things perfectly.  Nobody ever leapt out of the womb tap dancing. We all had to crawl before we walked. Sometimes you just have to get started.

"Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time." Harry Truman

As you've been reading this, ideas have been running through your mind. Books you want to write, career changes you want to explore, countries you'd like to visit.

Get started.  Do the first step. Take the first micro-action.  Put it on your calendar, research it on the internet. Start to make it real.

Try this for the next 7 days and see what happens!

How To Handle The Ever Increasing Pace of Expansion

How To Handle The Ever Increasing Pace of Expansion ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Things are getting faster. Time seems to be speeding up. It's noticeable in our everyday lives - we have never ending streams of information bombarding us from social media 24/7, but we can also communicate with each other instantaneously, and get places quicker, than we ever have before.

It used to be that a second was the fastest measurement of time. Now it seems broken into nanoseconds. What is going on?

As we progress as Consciousness into form, our vibration increases. We *are* the higher vibration of Consciousness, and as we come more into our bodies, we experience it as expansion.

When I read energy, the past vibrates more slowly and the future vibrates at a higher rate. The past is denser, the future more diffuse.

When We are focused in the present moment, We are aligned in our bodies and able to effortlessly move with them on their perceived journey from the past to the future.

If we focus elsewhere - either to the future (daydreams) or the past (memories) we'll be disconnected from what's going on now.  It's like trying to drive your car while staring at the GPS or in the rear-view mirror.

When We as Consciousness are anchored and centered in our bodies, our energy flows more smoothly.  If we aren't, we'll accumulate pain, and look for distractions to get away from the pain, which disconnects us even more. It's like expecting your car to drive when you're not in it.

Really, our bodies want *Us*, Consciousness, to be driving. Our bodies experience resistance when they feel they're abandoned, or being made to do something against their will. They may create illness to get our attention.

If you are feeling rushed, if you're feeling stressed, if you feel like you're on a treadmill never getting anywhere - that's your body experiencing time and space without You in it.

You may think you don't want to take the time to anchor in the body, but when you do, time expands. You get more done when you're focused in the present moment.

The experience of Consciousness in form, You in your body, is effortlessness, non-resistance, centered but not weighed down, gliding through time like a kayaker on a river of energy.

Here are some instantaneous ways to connect in your body:
Use your lower abdomen as a reference area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (I see Me as a dot of light). Notice what that's like.
Use your inner heart as another reference area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (a centering point)
Your pineal gland - in the center of your head, between your ears, behind your eyes, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (another centering point)
And your solar plexus - inner stomach area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (you can be centered in all these areas at once).

This allows you as Consciousness to lightly occupy the body and navigate with it through your life.

Play with this.  See what happens!

Are You Making New or Repeating Old?

Are You Making New or Repeating Old? ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

All of our creations are our babies.  Whether you're planting a garden, writing a novel, putting together a fishtank, or building a house, you are utilizing your creative energy to give birth to something physically.

How do you bring your desires into form?

I looked at the process of giving birth from the standpoint of Consciousness, and these are the steps:

HOW TO MAKE A HUMAN

first, love
second, weave patterns together
third, narrow focus these patterns so they become dense
forth, from the woven patterns, density becomes matter within the boundaries of time and space
fifth, matter, an embodiment of love, gestates in a pool of perceptions
sixth, when it’s time is ripe, matter emerges into the storyline to weave it’s own story and patterns.

That last part, the sixth step, applies more to human beings but if you think about it, your fishtank or garden does have it's own storyline. My fishtank was supposed to be populated with 9 fish, eight gold or red, and one black, but the first fish I put in there turned out to be pregnant so within a week I had 20 little black fish. It took a few months before I got the right combination in there. It had it's own storyline beyond my agenda/intention for it!

This week, I was meditating on bringing a desire into form, tuning into it as a thought and imagining it becoming dense. And I caught myself - instead of bringing in new energy, as it became dense, I was focusing on what I did NOT want to create!

In other words, I was focusing on all the things that hadn't worked in the past, rather than this new idea I wanted to create.

Has this ever happened to you? You apply all the Law of Attraction or the Secret techniques and instead of getting what you want, you get a repeat of the same old stuff.

I manifested my current husband in nine weeks, by very deliberately stating what I *wanted* in a relationship. Any time my thoughts strayed to a list of complaints about my exes, I'd metaphorically grab myself by the ears and make counteracting statements!

When you work on consciously creating a dream or desire, *don't* focus on making them dense! *DO* narrow your focus to exactly what you want (leaving room for your Consciousness aspect of yourself to bring it in more perfectly or greater than you can imagine)!

Realize that your perceptions color or shape your manifestation, so release limited or distorted ones!

What do you people WANT?!?

What do you people WANT?!? ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

A couple months ago I organized an event on Vashon Island, to serve a small group there.  I was excited because I was bringing people from Seattle to help and I felt it would be a big support for the islanders.

Everyone had agreed on the day, and I had to jump through a few hoops to reach out to the Seattle folks, who essentially had to take 6 hours out of their day, plus ferry fares, to do 2 hours of community outreach. I do this nearly every Saturday, coming from Tacoma, but I lived on Vashon for nearly 30 years, so it's a different experience for me.
What we think we need

It turned out to be a wonderful experience, the Seattle folks were enchanted by the island, which was lovely to see.

However, half the folks on the island didn't show up. One person, eager for the support, came from Gig Harbor, to receive the information.

What happened?

Maybe they didn't want it? Maybe they didn't know what they were missing. Clearly, it was my idea (but not their idea) to help move them forward.

One of the Seattleites said, "Maybe they don't know what they're missing. Maybe when they want it bad enough, they'll come to Seattle for it."

Yeah, maybe. I was trying to establish a support group on Vashon, so I felt the event needed to happen on Vashon. Which was entirely my agenda.

Maybe the folks on Vashon need to learn to go to Seattle (or Tacoma) for support; it's what I had to do when I got started.

But here's the bigger picture: when you are trying to achieve your goals, when you are going for what you really want, shit comes up.

You get scared, you get mad, you get resistant, you get judgemental, you get critical. You hide, you space it out, you oversleep, you overschedule. You tell yourself stories about what's going on, about yourself, about others.  You ______ (Fill in the blank).

In short, everything that's keeping you from getting what you want.

You may be so overwhelmed, you don't even *know* what you really need. If you are struggling with basic life issues, you may not have enough clarity to have a clear picture of what you truly want.

When you're stuck on the hamster wheel, all you can think about is getting off the wheel. You can't imagine what's possible for you.

Of course, you may want to get off the hamster wheel and rest!  But the hamster wheel has exercised your muscles to take you forward on your life (it just won't require as much effort).

Manifesting In The Real World

Manifesting In The Real World ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

The other day I had a chat with someone who does similar work and we both had the same question for each other: how do you integrate your inner and outer realities?

We'd been through different journeys since we'd first met, but had similar derailments, when "real life" situations occurred and took the focus away from higher consciousness work.
Feeling Stuck?

For me, my mother's Alzheimer's and cancer took me off my main career path, but I held my higher focus that I was midwifing her back to Source through the roller coaster ride of the end of her life.

It's hard to be out in the world, in the work place, or in other 'real life' situations (for me it was hospitals and doctors and caregiver groups), and maintain a multidimensional perspective.

How do you deal with coworkers or family members from the perspective of Consciousness? How do you approach issues, challenges, conflicts, as your Expanded Self?

It may require slowing down and not reacting from habitual patterns. Making different choices, responding differently (neutrally) to situations that come up.

The other stumbling block we encounter is our own techniques. You aren't at the same level you were when you first connected with healing guides or learned certain transformational techniques. These relationships, and energy techniques, need upgrading.

Sometimes it's a matter of communicating with your guides and bringing your agreement into present time with them.  Sometimes it requires a change of personnel.  Upgrading your meditation practise and techniques may be disorienting, like the going from a typewriter to a computer.  You may not be used to such instantaneous results.

Or - it may be renewing your acquaintance with your guides and resuming your practice. Your spiritual muscles may have gotten flabby!

I have experienced profound, miraculous, transformation when I take the time to consistently focus on energy work.  The tools in my spiritual tool kit work when I work them - for myself and my creations.

They don't work when I'm scattered or paying attention outside of my own space.

This week, take some time to dust off your toolkit and upgrade your invisible helpers and see what happens!

If you want some new techniques, check out my upcoming webinar!
