What Does The Consciousness Shift Feel or Look Like?

What Does The Consciousness Shift Feel or Look Like? ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

On December 21st, 2012, there was supposed to be a dynamic evolutionary event. A disaster movie was made about it. People said that not everybody was going to survive it. Even I was saying, back then, that everyone was going to be changed. But we all woke up on December 22nd, 2012, and everything seemed the same.

Now, I'm still talking about the Consciousness shift, that everyone is going through it, just that people are using different words to describe it. People are experiencing it in their own unique ways.

What happened back in 2012 was a shift, beyond the Mayan Calendar moving into a new 5,000 year cycle. Everything seemed the same, because the hologram isn't fundamentally different. But we did go through an "upgrade", and actually the internal design continues to change.

Consciousness Shifts don't necessarily happen overnight, unless you're Byron Katie or Eckart Tolle. And they don't necessarily look like instant enlightenment. Although they can.

Everyone has their own timing. The Shift that I experienced happened in 2006, over about a year or two. And it hasn't stopped.

For me it is an evolution. 2006 was a very difficult period, since all my beliefs were turned upside down and inside out. But, honestly, if I look back over my life, there's been upheavals and paradigm shifts every few years.  However, 2006 accelerated me on my path in a very noticeable way.

What does the Consciousness Shift feel or look like? It can look like a breakdown and breakthrough. Your life may fall apart and rebuild. You may lose all hope and sense of purpose, and then your inner world reorganizes. Or it may be exhilarating and exciting. Like you've found the missing piece to the puzzle.

You might have greater clarity, more access to your inner knowing. And/or you may dive deep into fighting against things you resist, to dismantle everything that seems to be in the way of your path.

Some people might be very frightened at this time. Because their reality seems to be breaking down. Everything they believed in, even their own identities, who they thought they were, is disintegrating.

We can see that reflected in the outside world by increased aggression,  authoritarianism, dominance. Those are old power games that are impotent in this new reality. Those that felt defined by these measurements, are extremely threatened.

How you're experiencing it depends on how you perceive reality, and what you hold to be real. If you're a visual person, the world may be starting to look very different. There may be some days where colors look sharper, things look brighter and more defined. Or it looks like you're on a movie set like in the Truman show.

I feel things internally, so I'm noticing heightened sensitivity, extreme empathic and telepathic impressions (I've tuned in to my family members for years but it's now 100% more intense). And my inner energy system feels different. Yet again.

When I try to judge what's happening to me through old filters, I could say I'm being spacey, ungrounded, that I'm not owning my space. But that puts me into a space of effort and resistance (very familiar energies but they don't feel good nor are they productive).

Whatever is going on for you, it's most likely part of this Consciousness shift. Validate the changes you're going through. It's not happening to you, it's you embodying your greater Self as Consciousness, and that's causing a seismic shift in everyone's reality.

When I accept that the change I'm experiencing is just another part of the shift, it's less uncomfortable. I can allow to it be different. I'm excited to see how it unfolds. I invite you to do the same!

It Falls Apart Before It Gets Better

It Falls Apart Before It Gets Better ©2016 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Doesn't it seem like everything falls apart before it gets better? And when you're in the midst of it all, it feels like it will never, ever, get better.

People will come to see me with a laundry list of things they want transformed in their life. We work together. They may or may not notice any changes during the session. They go home. And everything falls apart.

And then it gets better.

Well, that sucks. Why does that happen? Why can't we wave a magic wand, go 'bibbity-bobbity-boo' and step into being instant millionaires?

(Let me tell you, win Mega or Power, and your life falls apart there, too).

Step back and look at your life as if it were a structure. It's a house that you've built. Your 'laundry list' reads: 'New roof, new plumbing, refinish floors, sunroom, master bathroom...'

What would your house look like if you initiated all that changes at once? There'd be no roof, holes in walls, floors stripped.  Even if it's going to be good on the other side, it's suckky to live in a house during a remodel.

Sometimes we know we called this growth period in. Often we feel like it's thrust upon us. And it doesn't always look like it's happening inside our 'house'.  A loved one gets ill. We get laid off.

The structure of our life is more than our bodies. It's the bigger foundation.

When growth occurs, it's because we're bringing a greater aspect of ourSelves in. Consciousness is a bright light, a high vibration, it is the Essence of who we truly are, more than this individual body and lifetime.

In my original training I learned we could only bring about 10% of us as Consciousness into our bodies. I believe that has changed and we are bringing much more in now.

This light reveals cracks in our structure, areas that can't contain our brightness. We are expanding to encompass more of who We are.

And, it shows up with shifts and changes in all areas of our lives. A loved one gets ill. We get to hold a bigger space for them in their experience. We grow, become more compassionate, gain greater emotional depth.

We lose our job, which seems to rock our underpinnings. And then we learn that our career isn't our identity, money shows up from different places, we have the opportunity to expand to new fields and new coworkers or environments.

Don't resist the light coming in. Don't resist the things that are disintegrating. In fact, your Light can strengthen weakened structures when you don't resist it.

Lean into the benevolent light. It is You, as Consciousness. Your life is growing into something new and better.

...you are growing into You.

Transcending Fear

Transcending Fear ©2014 Joan M Newcomb

Two of my friends just returned from the East Coast.  One stayed in a cabin in New York that was over 100 years old, another stayed in a similar place in Vermont, that I think was even older.

What life must have been like back then.  No electricity, no running water.  No neighbors for miles.  You could possibly go without seeing another person for months.  A letter could take even longer to reach you.  New traveled slowly.

Even though people lived in survival then,  your primary focus was growing, making, or getting enough food to sustain you, staying safe from animals or outlaws, there was time for reading, reflection, creative arts.

Now we take so much for granted, a roof over our heads, groceries in our fridge, it seems we have to artificially manufacture things to freak us out.  We like thriller movies and amusement park rides that make us scream.

Faux News doesn’t really communicate current events, it uses language and distorted ideas to transmit fear.

When I look at this energetically, I see the energy of fear pulling the focus away from Consciousness and towards form. Really, it’s survival energy. It looks like the original intent is to remind folks to take care of physical needs, to not get so caught up in prayer and meditation (things that connect you to Spirit) that you forget to eat and sleep.

It’s distorted now in that it disconnects you from your higher awareness, so that you’re running in circles thinking you’re gonna die.

The irony is that, disconnect from Spirit, you do feel like you’re dying.  When spirit leaves the body, what happens to body?

With the energy of survival moving into form, towards density, and the energy of Consciousness moving towards Source, it may seem like conflict.  But it’s actually in harmony.  Breathing in, breathing out, moving in, moving up.  Except it’s happening simultaneously.  Kinda like the circular breathing needed for bagpipes or didgeridoos.

When we go through growth periods, it can feel like we are dying. We are expanding in our awareness, we are growing as Consciousness.  But our limitations are disintegrating.  Aspects of our personality are passing away.

As we are gaining in expansiveness, we can still stay connected to our bodies.  We can assure them with comfort and affection.  We can give them naps, bubble baths, chocolate… we are not abandoning the physical realm, we are taking our body/personality vehicles along with us in this adventure.

Perhaps fear isn’t to be transcended but transmuted.  The energy of survival can produce creativity and abundance.  Embrace it, take ownership of it.  Navigate it’s white water with the seniority and skill as the magnificent, all knowing, Conscious Being that you are.

Try this for a week and see what happens!

Heart Space, Growth Periods and Doing It Yourself

Heart Space, Growth Periods and Doing It Yourself ©2014 Joan Newcomb

On our radio show, we talk about Consciousness.  For me this is the newest and currently most accurate way to describe who We really are.  Imagine you are Consciousness.  What does that feel like?

We also talk about heart space, and each week my co-host leads us through an exercise to drop down into this field of awareness.  It's not your heart chakra, it's viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, it is deeper than that.  You drop down (think going down an elevator or escalator) into the heart area, but then you step through (Janet describes it like going through the lobby or an antechamber) into a deeper space.

How does that feel?

You've just shifted your perspective.  You've just expanded your awareness.

This is something you can actually do anytime, any place.  At work, in a meeting, in the car, at the store.  In conversation with someone else, in the shower by yourself.  Notice what happens when you do.

Why do this? Why shift your perspective? Why be Conscious?

When you are driving your car, are you your vehicle or the driver?  Does the vehicle know where it's going?  Can the vehicle see the big picture why it is here?

Would you rather navigate life from the experience of limitation, the feeling of things happening to you, of helplessness, or would you like to navigate from knowing there are infinite possibilities, being at choice, of being bigger than...?

As we go through life, we have opportunities to expand.  We encounter periods where our old limitations are breaking down, and we break through into a greater awareness.  We become more Conscious.  We become more who we really are.

These 'growth periods' can be uncomfortable, because we lose aspects of our identity.  They may be disorienting, we may feel lost for a while.  In reality, we are going towards something better, towards a deeper understanding of ourselves, a greater connection with our Essence and the Essence in all of us.

Language is limiting.  You have to feel it to fully know it.

This week, practice "dropping down" into this deeper heart awareness.  Be Consciousness.  Try this throughout the week and see what happens!

In The Bardo

©2011 Joan M. Newcomb

From Wikipedia (trimmed for brevity):
The Tibetan word Bardo means literally "intermediate state" - also translated as "transitional state" or "in-between state" or "liminal state"...  It is a concept which arose soon after the Buddha's passing...
Used loosely, the term "bardo" refers to the state of existence intermediate between two lives on earth. According to Tibetan tradition, after death and before one's next birth, when one's consciousness is not connected with a physical body, one experiences a variety of phenomena... from the clearest experiences of reality... up to terrifying hallucinations... the bardo offers a state of great opportunity for liberation, since transcendental insight may arise with the direct experience of reality, while for others... the karmically created hallucinations can impel one into a less than desirable rebirth.
In the West, the term bardo may also refer to times when our usual way of life becomes suspended, as, for example, when we are on retreat. Such times can prove fruitful for spiritual progress, as external constraints diminish, although they offer challenges because our unskillful impulses can come to the fore...

To me, the after death Bardo is a time of releasing all the impressions created during physical life.  Everything You identified with (or yourself as) falls away.  The part of you that identified itself as personality is terrified at its demise.  But what is underneath is greater, more brilliant than the little part of you can imagine!

It seems to me we're all in the Bardo right now.  Everything anyone has believed is solid and real has been disintegrating.  The economy, stock market and real estate are some examples.  People are getting laid off from their careers and long term marriages are ending.   Things like this have been going on in individual lives forever, but we're in one of those times when it's happening with collective intensity.

It's not just material or emotional security that is evaporating.  Spiritual and energetic realities are shifting as well.  You may be a follower of one type of meditation or identified with a religious group, and find it's no longer working for you.

Sometimes this is a gradual change, that creeps up on you.  One day you realize that it's been weeks since you went to Church, or sat down to practice, and it doesn't even matter.

Sometimes it's a sudden shift in circumstances.  Your child goes into the hospital and the rest of your life is suspended.  You go to work on Friday and told that you and a dozen coworkers are laid off.  It's shocking, and disorienting.

Often these "surprises" aren't really surprises.  You knew something was up, you had been hesitant on making future plans, so when reality presented itself, you rolled with it.  Or you 'knew' something was coming and you hunkered down and clung to the present state, so when it started falling apart the pain was unbearable.

As with the non-physical bardo, these times can be incredibly freeing, an opportunity for joyous expansion.  Or they can be times of enormous suffering, if you try to hold onto the illusion of what was.

If you can just let drop what's no longer there, you can open yourself to something bigger and better than you can possibly imagine.

This week, let go of whatever is gone (your regular schedule, that missed appointment, the old way of life, the last relationship, etc.) and open yourself to Your next Big Adventure in life!

Internal Navigational System ©2006 Joan M. McCabe

Internal Navigational System ©2006 Joan M. McCabe

I’ve been having an amazing period of growth recently. A series of circumstances brought me yet again to another ‘bottom’ around New Years. It turned out to not be a ‘crashing through the floors to the basement’ bottoming-out, but instead I landed on my feet and discovered that I was actually on the third floor.
A kind of Divine Intervention happened to instantly restore my energy to myself, and my focus to my own life. And when I did that, I felt wonderful. If I spent any time looking at the previous five months, I felt like crap.

I’d gotten off track last summer when I began crossing my own boundaries, feeling there was something wrong with me if I felt bad when someone was inconsiderate or hurtful towards me. Something critical or insulting would be said, and instead of backing off, I would try really hard to gain outside approval.
All that evaporated over New Years. Focusing on my own life, I saw where I needed to roll up my sleeves and work, and also some really great things almost instantly manifested in my life. I suddenly felt connected with the Universe and flooded with affinity for myself and my world. I was almost giddy with self esteem. Thoughts like, “I’m the most wonderful person standing in these shoes”, “I’m the most adorable person inside this coat”, and “I’m the loveliest person in this bathroom” would pop into my head.

Random thoughts like these continue, and I feel restored to my Internal Guidance System in a way I haven’t felt in years.

Being in this place of clarity, it is much easier to choose where I want to direct my thoughts. For instance, instead of remembering how awful an experience was, I can appreciate how delightful the present is, or consciously set an intention for a future experience. What I focus on magnetically attracts more of the same. Sometimes it seems almost magical the positive and good-feeling experiences that keep flowing towards me!

I find I have to make choices about who I hang out with and be aware of the atmosphere of places in which I hang out. Some people have been quite upset with me that I’m not at the same level of drama or misery they are! Some environments are no longer comfortable for me, and that’s okay. This world is so big, so vast, there are endless choices of people to be with and places to go!

At the beginning of this article I mentioned that all this occurred with a Divine Intervention over New Years, but I realize that some of this was set into motion over a year ago. The previous December I made a decision to quit working in Bellevue because I wanted to facilitate spiritual classes. Back then I realized that I’d been operating ‘under the radar’ most of my life so that I wouldn’t be the target for my father’s criticism (this didn’t work, it only *invited* more). I realized that my life was really between myself and Source/God/Universe. So I made the decision to step forward and risk being entirely self-employed with my three businesses, even though my savings ran out in February.

This November I challenged myself further to examine my patterns about money, which has affected my relationships and my choices for most of my adult life. Each of these steps took me out of my stuck patterns and allowed my ‘Divine Intervention’. Each of these steps were course corrections, each time gaining back a little more connection to my Internal Guidance.

If you’re feeling ‘off course’ in your own life, you could look at how you’ve been navigating through your choices and actions. Have you been basing your decisions on outside approval or inner well being? Even one small change, one baby step, can start steering you towards a better feeling place. Tiny changes can start a ripple effect that can result in your whole Universe coming into alignment!

Take Nothing Seriously - Final Exams!

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

Have you ever noticed that sometimes in your life, several major issues come up at once?  It's like story lines from different subplots converge on you all at once.

What's so interesting when this happens is that these are problems/crises/issues you've dealt with before, usually over the last year or so, and suddenly, whammo, they come up again this time in the same week or month.

To me it's like the Universe giving Final Exams.  It's to see if you really learned the lesson or gained the skill you needed.  If you can remember how you dealt with each issue, and do so again, then managing everything coming at you is relatively easy.  *If* you don't take it seriously.

If you freak out and go into crises mode, or resort back to old coping or escape mechanisms, then all you're doing is repeating the stuck patterns that you experienced in the first place.  Do you really want to feel that way again?

It also doesn't help to judge or blame (yourself or the situation).  You haven't regressed, you didn't do something wrong, the only reason you seem to be 'back' in this old scenario is to show that you've moved beyond it!!

How do you not take something seriously, when it feels so real or requires immediate attention?  Mentally step back from it.  Remember who You really are.  You are not the crises, you are not the problem, you aren't even your personality or your body or the role you're playing in the situation.

You are Consciousness, You are Essence.  You are more than this lifetime.  This body personality is just a role you've taken on, and you're acting out this storyline with other characters and an interesting plot and subplots. If you can view it from this expanded perspective, then the whole thing becomes amusing.

It takes staying out of sympathy with yourself - 'oh, poor me' does *not* help with neutrality!  It sometimes takes a little mental toughness not to get sucked into the emotional drama (even with yourself).  But think about it - do you want to feel miserable or do you want to feel better?

How do you want to play the game?  How do you want to experience life in Adventures In Density & Effortland? Do you want more happiness?  Do you want to feel joy?  Sticking your face deeper into the mud isn't necessarily the way to do it.  Unless you're trying to break through the illusion and are reclaiming power from the morphic field.  And then you're doing it with Consciousness.

A simple way to get started is by mentally stepping back, taking nothing seriously.  That's all you have to do this week.  And see what happens when you do!

Becoming Willing

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

Many people have heard of the Twelve Steps, but many don't know that they've a mystical basis.  Bill Wilson, who started Alcoholics Anonymous, belonged to The Oxford Group, which had it's foundation in Christian Mysticism.  Bill took their 6 fundamental Steps and made them into 12 Steps, so that there weren't any loopholes that an alcoholic could slip through!

The 'bridge steps' he inserted were the ones with gentle suggestions 'came to believe' and 'became willing'.  Others are more definite: 'made a decision', 'made a list', 'made direct amends'.  It's all about easing yourself into action.

Becoming Willing is a wonderful way to ease yourself through transformation.  It's what you can do when you know you need to make a change but don't feel ready yet to do it.

I consider it the baby step between quantum leaps.

Say you have a difficult transition coming up, if you know you'll eventually have to decide or take action on something but currently don't want to do it.  All you have to do in the present moment is become willing.  It's a way of slowly turning yourself in the right direction.

It's amazing how quickly and easily change can happen after becoming willing.  It goes hand in hand with acceptance.  You finally stop resisting your own growth and expansion, and accept this is the way the energy is flowing.

This isn't the same as stepping out of prevalent energy trends, such as not matching the group consciousness of Unemployment and The Economy - in those circumstances you don't need to accept the way *that* energy is flowing!  But you do need to become willing to have a different experience than your peers!

Becoming willing is for when you feel stuck and unable to take action.  Your comfort zone is uncomfortable, but you don't want to feel the discomfort making necessary changes!  Or you're in a rut but don't know how to get out of it.

Becoming willing opens the doors to new possibilities.  Becoming willing turns your thoughts to new directions.  Becoming willing shows solutions you hadn't previously thought of.

So notice if there's any area of your life where you know needs to be different.  Let yourself become willing to change.  That's all you have to do this week.  And see what happens!

Quantum Leaps

"And the time came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." Anaïs Nin

(c)2010 Joan M. Newcomb

I define Quantum Leaps as stepping beyond your limits into a new, expanded reality.  They're often accompanied by a physical leap of some sort.

When I decided to go to Findhorn the first time, it was a huge stretch for me.  I had two young children at home and hadn't been anywhere by myself in years.  A family crisis seemingly had passed so I committed my 'emergency fund' to afford an introductory week there.  In the months that unfolded from the time I made the commitment to the time I actually flew there, my income went up dramatically.  So much so, that I was able to afford a second week, and still came home with the original 'emergency fund' intact!

Findhorn transformed me.  It healed the experience with my previous spiritual community and opened me to a whole new way of being in the world.  It also helped me take the next leap, which was to leave my irreparably damaged marriage.

That leap resulted in years of poverty and hardship, but also tremendous spiritual growth.  It's interesting to note that, when things were the most difficult, was also when miracles occurred.  Support came from out of left field, in totally unexpected ways.

There's a scene in one of the Indiana Jones' movies where Indy is running through a passage way inside a mountain and abruptly comes out to a fog-filled abyss.  He hesitates a moment and then steps out into it.  The fog clears to reveal a crystal bridge.

Quantum leaps are initiated by your Inner Being (Expanded Self/Spirit/Essence).  When you heed them and step forward, support appears.

You are being called to break through your perceived limitations and step into a bigger experience. The instinct to stay 'safe' but contracted is a distorted one.  Being contracted is not safe, it is a slow death.

You may or may not be called to quantum leap at this time.  You may be urged to take a baby step!  Look at yourself and your life at present.  Are things going well?  Are things moving or flowing?  Do you have enough money flowing in, are you in a loving relationship (or in loving relationship with yourself)?  Are you expressing your creativity?  Then perhaps all you need is 'maintenance' steps to keep the current energy moving.

Or is there one, or more, major areas of you life that seems stuck and not moving?  Whatever the reason, it indicates you're ripe for a Quantum Leap.  Look at what would break you outside the box or propel you forward.  What risk is required for you to regain your True Self?

Maybe it's something you've been wanting to do for a while.  Maybe it's an action you haven't let yourself even consider (until now).  Does it require a baby step, a minor course correction or a Quantum Leap?

This week, let yourself actually plan to make the required change (if not actually do it).  And see what miracles happen when you do!

Discomfort Zones

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

Last Tuesday I interviewed Roz Savage , a petite, blond, British woman who rows by herself across oceans in a tiny rowboat.  When she was rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, she experienced every disaster you could think of, except her boat sinking.  She was absolutely miserable.

Midway through her voyage, she had a revelation that she was getting exactly what she wanted!  When people had asked her why she was attempting such a feat, she'd reply that she 'wanted to expand beyond her comfort zone!  Discomfort is what happens when you expand!  But after a while, the uncomfortable becomes comfortable, so she was able to enjoy her misery until that happened to her!

What a marvellous explanation for the periods of growth and change we go through!  As Spirit, Essence, Expanded Self, we decide to make a quantum leap.  It's pretty effortless for Us, we just think of making a change and we're already there.  Our physical bodies, however, can have a struggle catching up.

Bodies live within time and space and only know what they've previously experienced.  Being told to go a new direction, to try something they've not done before, end something that is familiar but dysfunctional, is tremendously daunting for them.

When we're viewing our reality from our body's perspective, we take the fear and misery seriously. When we see things as our Essence Self, we can be happy *and* miserable!  Although sometimes doing that, the misery or fear lessens.  Our body feels comforted when We're taking charge.

When We're in charge, we can coax our body through it's Discomfort Zone.  We can let it rest, give it good food, pamper it with a massage, simple things that are very effective!

We need to keep things simple for our body during such times.  For instance, just doing the next indicated thing than giving it a preview of the whole journey.  As Spirit we can easily see the big picture, our body freaks out when it's too far into the future.  Although sometimes a peek at a positive outcome is the encouragement our body needs.

Staying in communication with our body is helpful as well.  If we ignore our body too long, dragging it over hill and dale, it can get sick just so we'll slow down and take care of it!  It may seem wacky to talk to oneself as if talking to a child, but sometimes that's just what the body needs.

Life is a growth period, we are always growing and expanding, so going through different stages of Comfort/Discomfort.  How is your Zone right now?  Are you comfortable but getting ready for a quantum leap?  Or have you been in your Discomfort Zone for for so long you forgot there was a Comfort Zone?

Are you viewing things from your Expanded Self or from your body's viewpoint?  How does your experience change when you shift perspectives?

Two options this week (you can do one, or both, or none):

Just notice when you're comfortable or uncomfortable.  Notice what perspective you're seeing the experience from.  Make a simple shift.  Notice what happens.

Take time out, whenever you think of it, to talk to your body and find out how it's feeling.  You can journal a conversation between you and your body.  Notice what happens when you do this on a regular basis!

And let me know what happens!

Anger - a good thing

(c) 2009 Joan M. Newcomb

Lately, I've been feeling grouchy at times. It's surprising to me since I'm usually in a good mood. It's happening frequently enough that I've come to realize that it's part of my growth space, something I'll talk about later in this article.

When I do psychic readings, I sometimes notice varying shades of red in a client's aura. Red is life force energy. Sometimes it's dark red, which is frustration or blocked energy. Sometimes it's volcanic. Sometimes it's just a pure flow.

How comfortable we are with that vibration depends on our background and our natural tendencies. People who are Italian, or lawyers, or sales people, run this vibration with ease. Upper middle class WASPs and people who had an out of control parent tend to not feel safe with this energy, even if it's their own.

At it's essence it's an invigorating life force energy. It helps 'cut the crap', remove blocks and gives you the energy to go where you need to go or do what you need to do. In a dysfunctional state it's invasive and abusive.

Coming out of a dysfuctional childhood or marriage, we may have learned to repress our anger in order not to enrage the abuser. We may have learned to be invisible, or manically cheerful. We're so used to having our boundaries crossed by someone else's anger, we don't feel entitled to respond (abusers usually make you feel you deserved the abuse, and make themselves the victim if you do stand up for yourself).

As you recover from your childhood or marriage, it's a sign of growth when someone behaves badly towards you and you feel angry! Anger is a signal that your boundaries have been crossed. Anger is the inner you standing up for yourself.

Anger can also come up as part of your natural growth if you've been putting up with an intolerable situation for too long. It helps dissolve the blocks keeping you from moving forward.

I've been experiencing levels of frustration for the last couple of months. Energetically I can see the chunks of concrete floating in my aura! The image I get is of a star ship navigating it's way through space debris. Some of it is my own personal history and some of it is societal patterns. I know it's about dropping behaviors where I devalue myself and situations that undervalue me. (In Robert Scheinfeld's Phase 2 perspective, it's all me, inner and outer).

I've been reading a lot of people going through career transitions and the trend I see is towards right livelihood, doing work that is in integrity with their Essential Selves. If they're in a career or job that isn't right for them, they're feeling discontent. If their Essential Self created being laid off, they're having trouble finding work in their old field, because their Essential Self is wanting to steer them in the direction of what makes their heart sing!

A lot of people feel hesitant about taking the risk towards Right Livelihood because they think they can't make a living that way. In reality, their lives will be more abundant when they do. Prosperity always flows when you're in alignment with your Essential Self.

As you start to steer towards your Right Livelihood, where your Essential Self is calling you, you may feel some anger as you begin to pull out of old patterns. It's okay. You don't have to gnaw off the bindings or bark at those other characters in your story line you perceive. You can just imagine it as a 'force field' in front of your star ship (the edge of your aura) disintegrating whatever's been keeping you from boldly going where you're meant to go!

A simple navigational tool (one I believe I mentioned last week) -- to make decisions that are in your own best interest. If it's been so long since you've done that, it feels like this - you feel happy or elated when you go in that direction. You feel tense or dissatisfied (or 'the same') when you don't. Or that direction just looks and feels brightest, and the other way is duller or darker.

Try this for the next week, with each decision you make, go in the direction that feels brightest or makes you happy. And see how your entire Universe changes!
