Pattern interrupts, pattern disrupters.

Pattern interrupts, pattern disrupters. ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

There’s a neuro linguistic programming term, “pattern interrupt”, which is meant to disrupt your habitual thinking, causing you to be more receptive to new ideas.

In your life any number of things could occur as “pattern interrupts”. Going on vacation changes your routine. Moving in with someone, getting married, are major pattern interrupts as you and your partner adjust to life together. A new job, a move to a different neighborhood disrupts your pattern as well.

Some people are born pattern interrupters. They come into the world to help move things forward, although it may not seem that way at first. They help disintegrate dysfunctional family patterns, which may not be appreciated by members who created or perpetuate them. They shine a spotlight on that which needs to be changed.

I’m experiencing being a pattern interruptor in my current situation. My little brother had a stroke and I went back East to help. When I arrived, he’d been in acute rehab for 11 days (after an 11 day stay in the hospital. His wife works, so I stepped into the daytime “shift”, talking to hospital staff and helping with his care.

Now, I’ve ridden a rodeo like this before, when my mother broke her pelvis. She had Alzheimer’s so required a different kind of advocacy, than my brother who is mentally capable but barely speak at this time.

But they weren’t used to having someone request a list of his medication, question things, and generally hang out all day with him (except for quick breaks to take client calls). To speak up when something was amiss (watching an aide handle his paralyzed side’s shoulder in a way the OT had warned could injure it). To step in when no one was available to help him with immediate needs. To allow him to sleep after an intense day of rehab exercises.

He was moved to subacute rehab a couple days ago, a new level of normal. More chaotic but more friendly, still surprising them with my presence and my persistence. Discovered a laxative which was supposed to be given “on demand” was being given “daily” instead.

It seems like people give up space to medical professionals and institutions, not asking questions and not questioning actions. The doctors in the hospital were (and the nursing staff here at rehab are) very responsive and willing to explain things.

Disrupting patterns does not have to be negative. It really depends on resistance to change.

In my consciousness work, I’ve mostly made it a point not to change, fix, or manipulate the hologram. Whatever’s going on, I go with the flow, respond rather than react. I use my techniques to step myself into a different universe, which leads to different outcomes.

In this situation it works beautifully. My brother got transferred to a private room in 24 hours instead of waiting a week.

When I’ve tried to manipulate it just makes things worse. I think I may be permanently kicked out of his PT room. (Unless I show up in a another universe today where everything’s different).

You can be your own pattern disruptor by deliberately changing habits, or by welcoming anything that shifts your routine. When you welcome rather than resisting, it transforms it to a positive growth experience.

I’m going back to Seattle for 2 weeks so today I’m thinking of teaching my brother to use some of my Consciousness Techniques meditate. It’ll give him something to do while he’s stuck waiting around in rehab. And he can use it to shift his reality, too.

We’ll see what happens!

Nonviolent Civil Nonresistance

Nonviolent Civil Nonresistance ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

We're in a time of tremendous turbulence, and oh, there is so much to resist! There are some really terrible things happening, it's almost cartoonish how bad the bad guys are. Except they aren't one dimensional and the plot is much more complicated than any comic can portray.
Egyptian Tank Man - Tarek Wajeh, Ahmad Shahin

What's happening is the old power dynamics are appearing more extreme even as they are in the process of going away. We are witnessing every old ploy in the book, dominance and manipulation, designed to make old white guys more rich and powerful. Part of their technique is to deliberately create crises, intended to throw the rest of us into chaos. We're riled up because they want to rile us up, and they want to get us emotionally exhausted. Because, in the lower dimensional, old paradigm game, that's how they "win".

But here's the thing, it's an energetically weak stance, to try to dominate other people. All your power is outside yourself. You're actually dependant on those people beneath you. No rich man drives his own car, makes his own meals, staffs his companies.

It's understandable to react to the pain and suffering they're causing people. But the response shouldn't be resistance. Resistance energetically attracts that which you are resisting. Resistance gives that which you are resisting more power.

Non resistance is the most powerful stance. It's a very high vibration that appears transparent. You remain open. Negativity passes through you.

There's a martial arts called Aikido, which focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you. It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement.

So this is a clue how to respond to what's currently happening in the world. Yes, you can go march, hold signs, get arrested. You can call your congresspeople, make phone calls, sign petitions. But there's a bigger way to respond.

Take back your power from that which you resist. Do not contribute to anything it represents.  When you stand in non-resistance, you are immensely powerful. Now imagine an entire group of people standing in non-resistance.

The non resistance technique I teach is to make yourself transparent. It energetically opens you so negative energy passes through. It actually feels like your molecules separate. The old name for this technique was 'body of glass' but to me glass isn't a great term, since glass can shatter. In stead, you can think of it like wind blowing through a screen door, or like wearing a Harry Potter type invisibility cloak. You aren't necessarily invisible (unless you want to be).

What it reveals, also, is that your "opponents" are actually in resistance themselves. They're coming from a very dense space. They can throw energy at you, but it will have no effect on you. They can charge at you, and you can effortlessly step aside.
How this looks in your daily life is by not reacting to emotional manipulation in the news. By making choices, like economically boycotting stores that belong to or financially contribute to those that represent the denser energies.

The numbers are on your side. Evolution is happening. Light eradicates dark.

When you come from your inner power, you feel no resistance to the power games around you. As you stand in your power, it gives permission to others to be in their power. This is already happening, all you need to do is participate in it. And see how the world transforms!

Bellyflopping Through Life

Bellyflopping Through Life (c) 2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

I swear, my autobiography should be titled, "Bellyflopping Through Life". I can't plan, analyze, or read a book about it first, I have to dive in and experience something and then figure out how to do it with more finesse next time.

However, if I waited until it's perfect, I would have missed many fabulous opportunities and not created most of the amazing miracles of my life.

The last three years has been like a spiritual MBA as I've been learning how to offer my work into the world in a bigger way. There's been a lot of bellyflopping, and my stomach is stinging a bit as I share this.

Everything is finally coming together and the official launch of my new program(s) and website is set for January. But I didn't want to spend the next month just fiddling with details. So I decided to open the doors early just to people who already know me and my work.

I'm extremely grateful to all of you guys who have stuck with me during this time. I've gifted you a 3 part video series, sharing insights and a specific tool for creating change as Consciousness. Go here to view them, if you haven't seen them already.

Today is the first day for you Very Important People to access my brand new Do It Yourself program. This program has only been available as private coaching or selectively small group coaching. I'm excited to make this information available to more people in the world!

You can opt to have more support, either on a group level or individual coaching level at any time as well.

There are extra bonuses if you sign up before next Tuesday, December 5th.

Then I will close the doors until I open to the general public in January.

Go here to learn more!

Operating as Consciousness in Body

Operating as Consciousness in Body ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb

Someone asked me what specific techniques would be useful to create a desired outcome for navigating as Consciousness.

Techniques don't matter as much as perspective. If you're trying to change, fix, or manipulate the outcome, you're not operating as Consciousness.

If you feel like outer circumstances *need* changing, fixing, or manipulating, you're not operating as Consciousness.

If you feel like someone or something has more power than you, you're not operating as Consciousness.

As Consciousness, you are creating this reality. Including things seeming to need fixing, changing or manipulating. Even the aspect of you that feels powerless in the moment.

What if I feel like someone or something has more information than I do? What if I don't know how to do something?

As Consciousness, you are Infinite Intelligence, you *are* the Cosmic Internet, with all information available to you at any moment.

However you've created a body/personality with limitations, which doesn't have all that information in it's hard drive.

You've created other people and things in your reality with that information.

The power issue is a little different because it's where you place your Source. Others in your reality are not your Source. Bosses, banks, and governments are not your source.

Money isn't your source. It's an expression of appreciation in this physical reality.

When you internalize this, and internalize that *you* are Consciousness creating all this, it creates an enormous shift in your reality.

Nothing daunts you any more. Infinite possibilities become available to you.You are free to play and choose from all options.

You feel free to express appreciation for information or support, because you've created that information or support or person, place, thing, in your reality.

Consciousness Techniques work when you use them as Consciousness. When you use them as body personality, they'll be as flawed as Law of Attraction is when you're coming from a place of lack.

When you're operating as Consciousness, you can make up your own techniques and they'll work for you.

If you're not operating as Consciousness then no amount of techniques are going to get you then. Even a glimmer of Consciousness manifests miracles.

I've created mentors and teachers in my reality, but they are not my Source. They are other aspects of Consciousness. I value their experience and information, but doing it exactly their way isn't going to work for me. I have to own it for myself, which may mean upgrading or adjusting it to resonate with me as Consciousness, for anything to work.

I have mentees, students and clients in my reality, but I am not their Source. I am a creation of Consciousness by them. I see my main role is to validate them *as* Consciousness and not their personality.

I also happen to have valuable experience, information, and techniques that may be useful, but only if they own it as Consciousness.

When you move through this world as Consciousness, when you own this world as your Creation, it completely transforms your reality.

Life becomes effortless and fun.

I just spent four weeks manifesting a house. When I first started, I wanted one just like the one I’m in (a 1905 Craftsman, in the historic Proctor District of Tacoma). It was fascinating to watch the creation reorganize, and go through different possibilities before it finalized in a 1956 ‘Mid Century Modern’, surrounded by trees, in a quiet suburb next to a golf course.

My mind would not have intended this. But it is unfolding perfectly in my favor. And I had been saying that a part of me yearns to go back to being a “Mystic In the Woods” as I was for many years on Vashon Island. I realized today that maybe this might be an aspect of this new creation.

When I operate as Consciousness, what gets created is beyond my wildest imagination.

Try this for yourself and see what happens!

Everyday Time Traveling

Everyday Time Traveling ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

I'm writing this from a hotel room next to the Yakima River. It's a scorching day in August, yet the river it running full and strong. I'm not used to rivers, I live in the Puget Sound, which has tides that flow and ebb along the shore.

The river reminds me of our experience of time in this physical reality. Time flows, from past to future. When I meditated on this, while looking at the river, I saw myself standing still, wanting to walk upstream, wanting to let the river take whatever I wanted to release.

It illustrates my resistance to going with the flow. It shows that I'm facing the past (upstream). The current of time is continually moving us forward, down the river. As Consciousness focused into form, we cannot cling to the river bank.

It also illustrates how, in this new reality, everything is the opposite of what is was before. My old focus would have been to stay anchored in one spot, and to release energy that way. When I see myself as Consciousness flowing down the river, I see that past energy is released in every moment. It's not even an issue. It is gone, and the continuous flow is the present moment.

My body feels unnerved with the prospect of releasing its grip on the bank. It doesn't feel exhilarated by the flowing water (as it may have when I was younger). It anticipates drowning, which is not fun.

But when I gently cradle it in my loving energy as Consciousness, it allows the flow to happen. I feel the shift in energy. I relax into the continuous change that is always available.

Nothing is truly lost, nothing is really left behind, it is put into it's proper placement in the storyline, it is stored in the Cosmic Cloud. No one is really gone, nor abandoned, we are all still connected as Consciousness.

Consciousness exists outside of time and space. The flow of time is just one of the elements that construct this reality. It keeps the story moving along, it's the background music that helps propel our personal game of life.

We are bigger than our story, we are bigger than the river, we are Consciousness that encompasses it all. When you identify as Consciousness within form, this all becomes an enjoyable activity, even if we've hit a patch of white water and are rolling over rocks.

When you hold a bigger space in your life, as you effortlessly do as Consciousness, it is easy to cast off the bowlines and go into the current, towards everything you've dreamed and desired.

Getting the Bends While Ascending

Getting the Bends While Ascending © 2016 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

"Decompression sickness''also known as ''the bends'' describes a condition arising from dissolved gases coming out of solution into bubbles inside the body on depressurisation. DCS most commonly refers to problems arising from underwater [diving decompression] during ascent, but may be experienced in other depressurisation events such as flying in a Cabin pressurization|unpressurised aircraft, and extravehicular activity from spacecraft. Wikipedia

When you're scuba diving and you come up too fast to the surface, you can get 'The Bends'. It's very uncomfortable, even fatal. When you are rising up from a great depth, where the water pressure is more dense you need to take it slowly so your body can adjust.

It feels like many folks are experiencing a form of  'the Bends' as they're experiencing more Consciousness.  If they've been dwelling in the density of old paradigm Earth, the increased light and higher vibration can be physically (and psychically) uncomfortable.
"Deep Sea World" in Scotland, photograph by Simon Johnston

One way this is showing up in people's lives is either revisiting old situations, new situations triggering old situations, or completely new opportunities outside one's comfort zone.

Revisiting old situations, like your ex from three years ago calling out of the blue, paperwork from an old lawsuit resurfacing, an issue at work you thought was resolved becomes problematic again.

New situations triggering old situations. You move to a new apartment building and the neighbors are just as noisy as the ones at your previous address.  You get a new medical bill, unrelated to the ones you paid off in the past.

Completely new opportunities outside your comfort zone. You have always done hourly work and you get a job offer out of the blue for a salary twice as much as what you normally earn. You haven't dated in three years because of a traumatic breakup, and your BFF's brother, a really cute *and* really nice guy, asks you out.

When you're find yourself revisiting old situations, it's really easy to go back to the old ways of reacting. Like letting your ex back into your life, knowing you'll regret it. Sticking the lawsuit paperwork in a drawer and hoping it goes away. The work issue keeps you up at night and has you updating your resume.

Same with new situations triggering old situations. You just know new neighbors are going to be just as unresponsive as the last ones. The new medical bill puts you in a meltdown remembering how hard it was to deal with the ones from before.

And the new opportunities, that should make you joyful, has you wanting to hide under your desk or not answer your phone or email.

Your stomach is in knots. You're getting sharp, stabbing headaches. You're biting your nails to the quick. That discomfort inside is kinda like the bends.

These all are opportunities to respond differently, from a more expanded point of view, from the more expanded Consciousness that you are.

It's ok not to respond to your ex. Read the paperwork, you might find it contains a settlement in your favor. Communicate to your supervisor about the work issue, you might find it a miscommunication.

Introduce yourself to your new neighbors and it turns out they didn't know someone had moved into the apartment next door. Talk to your insurance about the medical bill and discover that it wasn't a bill but a notification and it's completely covered.

Take the new job. Have coffee with your BFF's cute brother.

You'll find your body relaxing. You'll feel lighter and more expansive. You'll be able to feel the increased joy that is coming into the world.

In reflecting on this, I came up with a new technique. A treatment for 'The Bends' is to place the person in a Hyperbaric Chamber, to allow their system to recover more easily.

Imagine yourself in a Consciousness Chamber, where you are gently held while your body (and personality) adjusts to the clearer energetic atmosphere in the world today.

Play with this for the next few days, and see what happens!

Defying Gravity

Defying Gravity ©2016 Joan M. Newcomb

Gravity
1. The force that attracts a body toward the center of the earth, or toward any other physical body having mass.
2. Extreme or alarming importance; seriousness.: "crimes of the utmost gravity".

I used to believe that it was my Life Purpose to teach everyone to ground. I felt that everyone’s problems would be solved if they only knew how to create an energy cord from their first chakra to the center of the earth.

When I learned to ground, it completely changed my life. I had always been more out of my body than in it. If you’d asked me where my focus was, it was in my imagination, above my head. Grounding brought me into my body. I felt stable and secure. I felt like gravity increased.

It was a fundamental component of all my energy classes for twenty five years. And then something changed. It stopped working for me.
NOAA photo: Flying Humpback

One day I was teaching class, I’d just taught my students how to ground, and there was no center of the earth. I had them stand up and go outside. I thought if we stood on the grass, I might feel something.

Instead, it was like standing on a holodeck, and there was nothing but outer space underneath. It wasn’t until I stood beside a 100ft tall Douglas Fir, that I sensed something. (It was the energy emanating from it’s magnificent root system that I felt).

A few weeks later I was meditating and there were no chakras. Chakras are energy centers in your body and part of a spiritual practice that is thousands of years old. What was going on?

What’s happening is an energetic shift, an acceleration of Consciousness coming into form. Whether or not we have any experience with energy, we are feeling it.  It seems like everything that we thought was solid and real is falling apart. We're losing aspects of our identity in careers and relationship.

We're being called to live life as our Authentic Selves and anything that is not in alignment with who we truly are, is going away. What is breaking down is breaking through to Consciousness.

Our minds, our personalities, our bodies, are objecting and resisting.  This is unfamiliar and scary. We think we'll die if our rigid belief systems cease to exist.

I had to upgrade my techniques. Cording the earth from chakras was about as efficient as using AOL dialup to access the world wide web. Now I use 'reference points' to anchor myself as Consciousness in form. I connect wirelessly to the center of the hologram. Information instantaneously and effortlessly downloads from the Cosmic Internet.

The old way brought you into a dense version of reality that was physically uncomfortable. I spent a lot of time dealing with blockages. Connecting as Consciousness, I'm present in my body, but there is no pain.

When you navigate as Consciousness, Life becomes a magical game.  Synchronicities abound. The world looks different in HiDef.

Defying the body's gravity, it's limited world view, empowers you. Things are no longer happening to you. You realize that you are creating your reality as Consciousness down to the smallest detail.  You are at choice with how to respond.

Most of my readers already know this, but some of you may be scratching your heads, I lost you at 'chakras'.  If you want to know more, check out my website, I have videos and coaching programs and more.

Portals into Parallel Universes

Portals into Parallel Universes ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

No matter how entrenched in our current reality we may feel to be, at any moment we can change our experience. We created being where we are from our thoughts, feelings, perceptions, expectations and assumptions.

In the old paradigm, it would take years of therapy to make these changes. In the new, you can make real and lasting change easily and effortlessly.

As I wrote the sentence above, I flashed on ancient Egyptians building pyramids. They carved the stone blocks by hand. They used a massive amount of manpower (and ropes and logs) to haul them into place. It took twenty years to build one.

That same construction would happen in months using modern tools and techniques.

Old energy techniques are as antiquated as chisels and hammers.  You can still use them, but there are faster ways.

Now, most of us want to do things quickly because we are running from pain. We want to avoid discomfort. But trying to use Consciousness techniques in reaction to fear and other strong emotions, we actually stay in the same reality they occurred in.

Consciousness Techniques work when done with a playful attitude. You may have intentions, but be open minded and curious. The results will be unexpected and bigger than you imagine.

As Consciousness we exist not only within our current body/personality, but also outside it and concurrently in parallel universes.  Every time you made a decision in your past, a parallel self split off and went in another direction. You made no mistakes, a part of you did choose that other school, left (or got into) that other relationship, was hired for (or quit) that other job.

You can shift your present experience by stepping into a parallel universe. It doesn't mean that you're suddenly in Paris or can speak French. But you'll feel different, and walk into different results.

Parallel universes are like lanes on the freeway. You can stay on your present route, but there may be traffic, or a breakdown ahead. Stepping to one side or the other, you're moved into the fast lane, or chosen the scenic route.

You can do this literally by stepping to one side, or to another. You can also do this by stepping forward through portals. It may feel like you're imagining things, but you will feel a subtle change when you do this.

Say you're on the way to a job interview, you can step into the parallel universe where you're already getting the job. This works for dating, too.

Do this lightheartedly, with no preconceived expectations. You may not get the job you interview for, but an email comes in right afterwards offering something better!

Play with this for the next 7 days and see what happens!

Who's Driving The Car?

Who's Driving The Car? ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

We all have subpersonalities, and it doesn't mean you're schitzophrenic! What it means is that you have access to all different aspects of yourself, and this can be quite useful when you're conscious of it.

It's when we're unconscious that they can cause problems.

The most obvious subpersonalities are our inner kids. It's as if each age we've ever been is frozen in time within us. At any moment our two year old can come out and disrupt the Monday morning staff meetings (especially if you skipped breakfast to be there)!

We also have subpersonalities for each role we've ever been.  When I had a wedding business, it was useful to call upon my minister-officient subpersonality as I was driving to a rehearsal or ceremony; it stepped me into a professional mindset regardless of what else was going on in my life.

If you have a particular part to play in your life and you don't feel you know how to do it, it may be that the "wrong" (=inappropriate) personality is in your driver's seat. When that personality slides over and lets the "right" (=appropriate) one drive, you'll find you have access to the information you need.

Sometimes You need to put the wayward personality in the car seat behind you.

Not all our recalcitrant personalities are kids, however. Sometimes we have bossy adults gripping the wheel when we really need to let our artist out to wander. Bossy adults can be useful when it's time to stop procrastinating and work on the report that's due, but on weekends you need to lock them in the office.

We have an infinite number of personalities available to us, even ones we don't feel like we've accessed before.  We may not be as practiced with them, but they are there to be called forth. Perhaps you're in love with 'the One' and your longest relationship was three months. Or your family background was so dysfunctional you have no clue how to make this one work.  Take a deep breath, let all those concerns go, and allow the personality that does know how to make love last come up from deep within you.

You may feel a little wobbly and uncertain doing this at first, but trust that you have a wellspring of wisdom that you can tap into at any time.  You have an inner Parent subpersonality that can take the wheel whenever you need.

Your inner kids all really want that subpersonality to drive because they can't (or shouldn't).  They calm down when it's in the driver's seat.

Play with this for the next seven days. Call in the subpersonalities that you need whenever you need them. And see what happens!

Act Before You're Ready

Act Before You're Ready ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

I'm scheduling Meetups in December and January and, boy, am I exhausted! Which is pretty funny, because I haven't left my desk all day.

When you plan to do something, a part of you goes out and does it. As Consciousness you're not fettered by time and space so anything you imagine you instantaneously experience - as Consciousness.

Visualization is great but another step needs to happen.

In actually scheduling these meetups (as opposed to just thinking about them), I've set an intention and set energy in motion for them to actually happen. As Consciousness I can go everywhere, do anything, be anything, but nothing comes into form unless action is taken.

In order for us to expand into a new experience, we have to move beyond our comfort zone.  We don't do that if we wait until we are ready. We'll never be ready when we stay where we are.

Giving ourselves a deadline, putting it on our calendar, provides an anchor point for the manifestation to happen. It also initiates inner growth.

We don't have to be ready when we schedule something. We'll be ready when it happens.

Don't let fear deter you. Our bodies feel fearful of the future, because they only exist in the present moment.  Non-existence equals death to bodies, so when we try to drag them into our future planning, they feel like they're gonna die!

Don't let your mind take you out. You brain has a collection of cells responsible for organizing your life, and holds such boundaries like 'don't cross the street without holding your mom's hand'.  You may be 56 years old, but your mind is still trying to keep you safe that way.  It will come up with all sorts of reasons why it's a bad idea, especially if you are taking a bold step towards happiness and freedom.

This doesn't mean you have to leap without looking, or dive in without any preparation (although that tends to be my way of doing things; I'm going title my autobiography 'Belly-Flopping Through Life')!
You can plan before you're ready, too.

Great visions are just grandiose dreams without solid plans of actions.  But you can paralyze yourself by wanting to do things perfectly.  Nobody ever leapt out of the womb tap dancing. We all had to crawl before we walked. Sometimes you just have to get started.

"Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time." Harry Truman

As you've been reading this, ideas have been running through your mind. Books you want to write, career changes you want to explore, countries you'd like to visit.

Get started.  Do the first step. Take the first micro-action.  Put it on your calendar, research it on the internet. Start to make it real.

Try this for the next 7 days and see what happens!

How To Handle The Ever Increasing Pace of Expansion

How To Handle The Ever Increasing Pace of Expansion ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Things are getting faster. Time seems to be speeding up. It's noticeable in our everyday lives - we have never ending streams of information bombarding us from social media 24/7, but we can also communicate with each other instantaneously, and get places quicker, than we ever have before.

It used to be that a second was the fastest measurement of time. Now it seems broken into nanoseconds. What is going on?

As we progress as Consciousness into form, our vibration increases. We *are* the higher vibration of Consciousness, and as we come more into our bodies, we experience it as expansion.

When I read energy, the past vibrates more slowly and the future vibrates at a higher rate. The past is denser, the future more diffuse.

When We are focused in the present moment, We are aligned in our bodies and able to effortlessly move with them on their perceived journey from the past to the future.

If we focus elsewhere - either to the future (daydreams) or the past (memories) we'll be disconnected from what's going on now.  It's like trying to drive your car while staring at the GPS or in the rear-view mirror.

When We as Consciousness are anchored and centered in our bodies, our energy flows more smoothly.  If we aren't, we'll accumulate pain, and look for distractions to get away from the pain, which disconnects us even more. It's like expecting your car to drive when you're not in it.

Really, our bodies want *Us*, Consciousness, to be driving. Our bodies experience resistance when they feel they're abandoned, or being made to do something against their will. They may create illness to get our attention.

If you are feeling rushed, if you're feeling stressed, if you feel like you're on a treadmill never getting anywhere - that's your body experiencing time and space without You in it.

You may think you don't want to take the time to anchor in the body, but when you do, time expands. You get more done when you're focused in the present moment.

The experience of Consciousness in form, You in your body, is effortlessness, non-resistance, centered but not weighed down, gliding through time like a kayaker on a river of energy.

Here are some instantaneous ways to connect in your body:
Use your lower abdomen as a reference area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (I see Me as a dot of light). Notice what that's like.
Use your inner heart as another reference area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (a centering point)
Your pineal gland - in the center of your head, between your ears, behind your eyes, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (another centering point)
And your solar plexus - inner stomach area, allow a piece of your Consciousness to be there (you can be centered in all these areas at once).

This allows you as Consciousness to lightly occupy the body and navigate with it through your life.

Play with this.  See what happens!
