True Confessions on Time, Energy, and Money.

Time, Energy, and Money ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

My husband took the week off from work, before letting me know. I had a Telesummit scheduled for Tuesday, and my radio show Wednesday, plus my regular calls and meetings, so my calendar was super busy.

I work from home and it was challenging to maintain my focus with him being in ‘staycation mode’. I made it through the Telesummit but when my radio show co-host suggested that we air a rerun rather than a live show, I heartily agreed.
In Port Townsend, the house behind us is haunted!

After completing my regular calls Thursday, hubby and I took a “daycation” up to historic Port Townsend, and yet on the way I had this nagging feeling I was playing hooky - that I should be working.

Now here’s the thing, I work for myself, I work from home, my schedule is entirely my own. No one's gonna fire me for taking a day off.

I decided to record our show live on Wednesdays (although we do have to fit into an available spot in our radio station’s lineup), I decide I write my blog and send out my Ezine on Fridays. I choose to host Meetups on Saturdays or Sundays, I usually film my YouTube videos on Tuesdays (although the last two weeks I didn’t, due to the upcoming Telesummit).

True Confessions: NONE of these activities actually PAY ME. They’re all designed to support, help and enlighten others. And if someone decides to hire me for coaching, great.

Ironically, a lot of people I work with have money issues. When we shine a light on them, it often reveals they have trouble with their focus on time, and how they spend their energy.

Sometimes they have six figure incomes, but are miserable. They either hate their jobs, or hate their commutes. Or they’re spinning their wheels trying to make an income, feeling like they're going nowhere. They struggle with compulsive spending, credit cards, or underearning and deprivation.
They have confusion about the money or debt they do have, and vagueness about where their time is going.

As they gain clarity about their numbers and their actions, their circumstances rapidly improve. They feel feel more prosperous and abundant with less effort and stress. Because it actually isn't about the money, it's about the quality of their lives and relationships.

I spend my time and energy in ways that prioritize my relationships with my husband and now adult kids. I make choices based on my expanded perspective as Consciousness. I have a prosperous life and feel wealthy with my relationships.

My coach describes his schedule as "fiercely lifestyle friendly", which basically means that if it's going to compromise his values, he isn't going to do it.

I suspect he uses the word 'fiercely' because of the enormous morphic "work ethic" field that says you have to put in long hours, with a lot of effort and sacrifice in order to create a good life.

That nagging feeling I had yesterday? I was reacting to the same message, same morphic field.

As with anything in this world, the opposite is true.

The harder you try to attain something, the farther away it will be. Effort kills creativity. We give up so much power to these 'work ethic' ideals and completely miss the point that we're Infinite Beings and this world is our playground.

Realize that *you* are Consciousness and all the power is within you, not out there.

If you work a job-job, try being there as Consciousness, and see how it alters the experience for you. You may find it being more playful and fun.

If you're looking work, try approaching the interviews as Consciousness, and see how the dynamic changes.

Try prioritizing what's important to you, rather than what you think the world thinks is important, and watch how rapidly your life reorganizes in your favor.

When you use your time and energy as the infinitely creative and powerful Consciousness that you are, your world transforms.

Play with this for the next 7 days, and see what happens!

Manifesting Money and Miracles! It's Not About The Money

Manifesting Money and Miracles: It's Not About The Money ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Part of my Total Transformation coaching program is a training on Manifesting Money and Miracles. I've worked with many people who were struggling with debt or compulsive spending.

They all thought the solution to their problems would be a winning lotto ticket.

But a ton of cash wasn't what they really wanted. Whatever you think you want to manifest, it isn't about the money.

When they shifted their focus to operating as Consciousness, what they discovered surprised them. Their lives reorganized in ways more perfect than they could have imagined.

"It's *like* I've won the lottery," more than one of them has said to me.

This world is one of dichotomies, where the harder you try to make something happen, the less likely it is to manifest. When you run after the thing you desire, it's apt to disappear. It's all mirages and rainbows out there.

Manifestation as Consciousness requires you to do the opposite of what you would normally do operating as a personality in a body.

That doesn't mean you spend your days meditating on your navel. Although spending some time each day (or spontaneously throughout the day) shifting your focus will create definite results.

What you notice as you begin living as Consciousness in form, is that things effortlessly show up in your life. You don't have to try.

You feel expansive. You feel a sense of well being. You feel clear and fully present.

This is hard to understand when you're tied in knots, not answering your phone in fear of the IRS or creditors. Debt is a big vacuum, sucking dry your ability to create. It feels impossible to climb out of the wreckage of your finances.

When you shift to navigating life as Consciousness, abundance easily flows. You find you have everything you need, even more than you thought you could have. It shows up in ways you don't expect, from places you hadn't considered.

You realize that it's not about the money. It's about the quality of your life.

Living as Consciousness, life is abundant. You feel prosperous, regardless of the numbers in your bank account. Oh you still can have the house, the car, the trip. But the experience of these things is so much richer from the perspective of Consciousness.

The way you know you're on the right track with all of this, is that synchronicity increases. When you're aligned as Consciousness, you find yourself in a constant state of amusement as life becomes a string of serendipitous occurrences. They're reminders that this world is a holographic creation of Consciousness.

And it all starts with shifting your state.

Money Is Neutral

Money Is Neutral ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

This week I was a little surprised when I heard someone say that 'money is neutral'. I mean, I've had a lot of experience with money, from having a lot of it to not having any. It was great to have a lot, and problematic not having any. It's never seemed to me to be neutral.

I've also worked with the Deva of Money, who comes across to me as an ocean. The ocean may seem placid at times on the surface, but it is deep, and can change with the weather. It may be filled with life that nurtures you, but also can be deadly so you should never turn your back on it.

And then it struck me, that it's how we feel about money that is decidedly not neutral.

The energy of money is not only neutral but impartial. It doesn't automatically appear in your bank account because you're a good person. It's just energy.

There is no good nor bad about money. It's an avenue of exchange. It's an expression of appreciation. It's an energy form. It's a morphic field.

Our stories about money are dramatic. They're tied into our survival. We'll die without it, we think. People have killed themselves (and their families) over debt. And there are other stories, people doing good things for others with money.

It's funny. Not having money is bad, having money is good, and yet we demonize rich people. They're not spiritual, they're unconscious, they're disconnected.

People are people. There are wealthy people who are spiritual, conscious, and connected. Just like there are poor people who aren't. It can't really be dichotomized like that. I find usually people are a mix of everything, because they're human.

As I started writing this blog, a little voice said, 'yeah, tell 'em how to get more'.  Because that's what we all want, right? We never have enough.

Abraham Hicks says “The world is awash in money! Do you hear what that means? It is awash in money. It is flowing for everyone. It is like Niagara Falls. And most of you are showing up with your teaspoons.”

The more I think about it, the more like the ocean 'money' is. It is vast and present and available for you to utilize. It is completely neutral.

And, as an energy, it is infinite. It's our ability to have or receive it that shrinks or expands. We can propel it away, or attract it.

Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer both have told a story of waiting for the Maharishi, who was finishing a meeting about a project. Someone asked him, "but Maharishi, where is the money going to come from?" And the Maharishi smiled and waved his hand, "from wherever it is at the moment."

At one level, money is an energy that flows. At a higher level, it just materializes. As we expand energetically to embody more of our 5D self into this 3D form, as we are greater Consciousness within this physical realm, it becomes more easy and effortless to manifest whatever we want.

Which transcends money, because whatever we want isn't the actual numbers or currency, but the freedom it represents.

And here's the funny thing about that. As Consciousness we already have whatever we want. As Consciousness, we already *are* freedom.

How would your life be different if you knew that?

The Deva of Money and Morphic Fields

The Deva of Money and Morphic Fields ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

This morning I had a little chat with the Deva of Money and I thought I'd share it with you.

Devas are the unseen architects of Nature, they design things to be brought into physical form.  They hold qualities and communities as well. There's a Deva of Broccolli that oversees all the brocolli plants on the planet. There's a Deva of Patience that you can talk to in Friday afternoon commuter traffic. There's a Deva of the country that you live in.

I know of someone who personafies the Deva of Money with a sexual connotation, which works for them. For me, it feels entangled with cultural history of women being dependent on men financially.

The Deva of Money, as I feel it, is light, bright, clear and impersonal, like the ocean, like God. The ocean is not vindictive, the ocean takes and gives, the ocean provides for wildlife and the planet.

You fall in the ocean and drown, it’s not murdering you. Sharks eat you, they are feeding, being sharks. Your alertness keeps you from falling in the ocean, but what about boats going down, what about hurricanes and typhoons? Weather is not personal, it is patterns, it is part of the interweaving design of this world.

Many of us are entangled in the morphic field of poverty and deprevation, lost in the "funhouse mirror" maze of distortions.

The Deva of Money invites you to come out, come into agreement with the flow.

Wealthy people grok the flow, yet multiple flows are happening all at once, which is why they can be assholes and rich, or why they can be personality deprived and opulent. They may be focused on money but not in integrity with relationships.

The game on this planet is to experience life, the game may or may not be coming into balance. it may be a goal in the game, we all get to set goals as part of the game.

All your feelings about money, all your opinions about rich people,  distance you from having it in your life.

This week, sit and tune into the Deva of Money for yourself. Notice your first impressions. What does it feel like, look like, sound like, smell like, ??

Have a conversation with it. Have a pen and paper handy, jot down what you think it's communicating with you (unless you're extraordinarily clairaudient, you may get visual images or thought/ideas rather than actual words).

Dance with it energetically this week, and see how your life transforms!

Generosity & the energy of Money

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

Mike Dooley says in his new book, Infinite Possibilities that whenever he's experienced a financial setback, he starts spending money.  It shows the Universe that he believes in abundance, that he has confidence in the flow.

I've seen people take this concept in a distorted way, compulsively wasting money because they fear losing it.  Which only creates what they fear!

Prosperity is an expansive feeling, poverty is contracted.  In order to receive more, you have to expand.

Worrying about expenses or debt is contracted, and constricts the creativity needed to reverse the condition.

Busting Loose From The Money Game's Robert Scheinfeld says that money is an expression of appreciation.  You express appreciation at restaurants for the food you ate, you express appreciation to your utilities company for what it provides to your home.

Generosity is an expanded aspect of appreciation.  It's giving to others in an abundant way, it's expressing bountifulness.  It comes from a feeling of fullness, that there's plenty to share.

Appreciation and Generosity come from Consciousness.  When you are Aware of Yourself as the Conscious Creator, you experience the flow of abundance in your life.

Worry, fear of poverity, means your awareness has dropped down into the less conscious realms.  Down here, life is painful and it's a struggle to get ahead.  You're disconnected from Source.  It's very uncomfortable!

How do you shift out of that state?

There are several ways.  Robert Scheinfeld's reclaiming power has you fully feel the discomfort (I just typo'd it 'free the discomfort')!  You dive into it and at the emotion's peak you claim You are the Power and Presence of God, Consciousness creating this down to the smallest detail.  You reclaim the power in the emotion and the situation.  And then you appreciate the illusion of limitation.

Byron Katie has you question your key thought.  Is it true? How do you know it's true? How do you feel when you think it?  Who would you be without it?  And then you turn it around, usually to it's opposite.  Which dissolves it into clarity and truth.

I created an exercise in response to Abraham-Hicks' saying that abundance and prosperity are all around us, and available to us like Niagara Falls, but most of us are standing with teaspoons.  Imagine the power of Niagara Falls, which can generate enough electricity for the entire Northeast!  Imagine standing by it and how the ionized air feels.  Then you can either imagine Niagara Falls flowing into your through the top of your head or if that's too intense, feel the ionized air filling your aura/energy space.  Sit for a little while, experiencing the energy, then let it release.

Doing that frequently raises your vibration so you can feel more abunance.  It dissolves the limitations and blocks and increases your ability to receive.

Your assignment this week, should you choose to, is to do any or all of the above suggestions whenever you feel like it.  And see what happens!

Mystic Musings on Money

(c) 2009 Joan M. Newcomb

Money is always a hot topic, regardless of the economy. However, there was a joke circulating recently about an E-book titled "How To Make Money in This Economy" and when you opened it, all it said was "Write an E-Book about How To Make Money In This Economy".

For years I used to work for a mystery school that never paid very much. Yet I had everything I needed. I felt that I was 'working for God', so God was supporting me by providing from sources other than my paycheck.

Think about the difference in being paid minimum wage versus $200 an hour. Notice what it feels like to earn whatever your present yearly income is. Then imagine what it would feel like if your yearly income was your *monthly* income. When I play with this, I notice I go from feeling contracted to feeling light, airy, expanded. One thing I've noticed over the years is that the least paying jobs require the most effort. The larger your hourly wage is, it seems, the less effort you expend doing it. I think that's due to a couple spiritual principles: Effortlessness and Havingness.

Havingness is the ability to have. Everything you create in your life reflects your spiritual Havingness. If you have limitations, some aspect of your Havingness is contracted. Often this is mental stuff, ideas and concepts, family history, personal story. We've all heard about people who win the lottery and later end up broke. Their havingness didn't expand to their new fortune. And people who manifested their perfect partner but ended up divorcing. Creating something new in your life requires expansion, requires creating internal space to 'have' the new creation.

Effortlessness is a spiritual principle (I've written about it before as the concept of 'No Effort'). To paraphrase Yoda, "Do not try -- do ". Effort is a body level energy, but it destroys spiritual creativity. That's why things often come into your life when you stop trying to have them. You've let go, energetically, so they can come into form.

My newest awareness of money that I've been playing with is based on Robert Scheinfeld's book, Busting Loose From The Money Game. Scheinfeld says that money is really an 'expression of appreciation'. When you have a nice meal in a restaurant, when you pay the bill you're really expressing appreciation for the food and the service. When someone pays you for your services, they're expressing appreciation for you and your gifts.

When you shift your perspective to expressing appreciation, suddenly paying your taxes is no big deal. Your expressing appreciation for the income that you've got, and for all the things you want your taxes to go towards.

When you shift from expressing appreciation only for things you pay for and are paid for to everything about your life, suddenly money starts coming in from left field, from unexpected sources, even appearing in your bank account.

I have a student who's business went from operating at a loss to making millions in a short period of time. Her clients pay her by automatic deposit, and she's always meticulous about entering the numbers in her Quickbooks whenever she receives an email from her bank that a deposit has gone in. However, at the end of every month when reconciling her balance, there's always several *more* deposits into her account than she received notification for!!

When you let go of focusing on money and start focusing on appreciation, these things happen.

I've been self-employed for most of my life and have learned that it's important to stay out of survival in order to attract clients. Whenever I've worried about not having money, that's what I create temporarily. But usually I've worried about money and then discover that an automatic deposit came in or a client sent their check early. I end up feeling a little sheepish that I fretted in the first place!

The bigger picture about money is the bigger picture about reality - it's all an illusion, it's all made up, it's a creation of our consciousness. I am Spirit enjoying a full immersion holographic game; I'm the one that programs the computer! Money is just a pattern in the morphic field. It's as real as you want to make it. Same with reality.

When you're in effort and struggle for survival, then you're seeing things from your body's viewpoint. It's mortal, so it's worried about life and death. When you step back and view it as Spirit, as Source, you can see the bigger picture. Suddenly more options appear to you, more opportunities come your way, energy flows.

I know, I've had a really interesting roller coaster ride concerning money. When I was 22 I was confident that I could go anywhere in the world, land on my feet and support myself. I was working as a secretary for $5 an hour and after taxes brought in $10,000 a year. I was happy that I could pay all my bills each month. Then I became involved with someone who was independently wealthy who freaked if they didn't have enough in the bank for a year's expenses. It turned out they had a cocaine habit that cost them $10,000 a year (this was 1981).

Thus began a turbulent ride of extreme abundance and extreme poverty. There was one time I couldn't even afford toilet paper! I became really familiar with the energy of contraction.

When you see things *as* your Expanded Self, you're no longer afraid about paying your bills. You know that everything will come in when and as you need it. It's not exactly being fearless, because fear isn't in the picture. It's about being relaxed and at ease with playing the Game in this world. The Game isn't about making a buck, or accumulating numbers, or things that symbolize wealth. The Game is about creation, actually it's about creating.

What delights You is the act of manifestation. You are the Creator of your reality and it's really, really fun to make things. And make things up (such as story lines).

Patterns in the morphic field are the structure around and through which our energy flows. We can deenergize or reclaim power from our personal patterns (old story lines, family history, etc.) and it changes our hologram. Our life stops seeming like a soap opera or tragedy and becomes a hilarious improvisation - kind of like 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' meets 'Second Life'.

So here's some baby steps to get you started. Every time you pay for something, think of it as expressing appreciation (and really feel the appreciation). Every time you're paid, experience of being appreciated. Then start appreciating all aspects of your life, down to the smallest detail. It's easiest to appreciate nature, so you can start there. How blue the sky is (when it's blue) or how warm the sun is (when it's out). What an amazing creation birds are, flying and hopping about. Then you can appreciation other parts of your life, your home, your relationships, your belongings. All of these are reflections of your Havingness, your ability to create and manifest.

Pretty soon you can start appreciating your story line, even the really challenging parts. Because you can see how juicy an acting job you've created!

Start by appreciating, and notice what starts showing up in your life!
