Hearing, Having, and Ho'Oponopono

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

I'm going to try to weave together three themes I've been experiencing the last few weeks.

The first is Ho'Oponopono.  In my last Ezine I mentioned it, along with a link to a site I'd not been to before.  It turns out to be a very good site, that had a very good article about taking 100% for your reality.

Ho'Oponopono is a Hawaiian Shamanistic practice of turning within and releasing 'erroneous thoughts' that contribute to the negative patterns in the world.  It was effectively used by Dr. Ihaleakela Hew Len to treat "incurably insane" patients in a locked ward of a Hawaii State Mental Hospital.  Within two years, the ward was closed because all of the patients either got better and were released, or got better enough to be transferred to a regular ward of the hospital.

It fits into my belief system in many ways.  One simple way is that 'thoughts create things' (to quote Mike Dooley, whom I'm interviewing next week on my Radio Show).  Every thought you think is a filter through which you perceive the world, and a projection you create into the world.  Everyone you come into contact with is/has a 'matching thought' with you.

So if someone calls you up and starts complaining about their work or their love life, somewhere within you is a 'matching mental image picture' otherwise they wouldn't show up in your reality.  Doing Ho'Oponopono is a way of deenergizing that thought from within, which de-energizes it from them, and contributes to de-energizing it within the world.

That's one level of understanding things.  The next level is that this world is Your hologram.  You, as Consciousness, created it down to the smallest detail, including all of the personalities in it (including yourself as one of the cast members).  The building blocks of the hologram can be considered thoughts, or they could be considered pictures, or they could be considered emotions or sensations or pixels.  It's all the same, in the same way that a three-dimensional Pixar film is made up of music and story plot as well as the computer generated images.  Ho'Oponopono is one way of cleaning distortions in the hologram so You can enjoy the creation more clearly.

The thing is, you can't be in resistance to whatever you'd doing Ho'Oponopono for.  You can't act like it's outside of your space or someone else's creation.  You can't judge it nor Yourself for creating it.  You can't use Ho'Oponopono to manipulate the storyplot.  That is, you can't do Ho'Oponopono to make things go the way you want them to.

Ho'Oponopono, like every Truly effective energy technique, is best done with a clear and open mind.  I like to have a sense of amused anticipation, to see what's going to happen but not expect what will happen.  You're 'reclaiming power from your Hologram' without assumptions of what that's going to be like.

What happens for me is that interesting people show up as clients or callers to my show.  Someone who's a burned out healer/counselor who has people owing them money, who has to be encouraged to raise their rates and prioritize themselves first. (I REMEMBER BEING THAT WAY)!

People with under-earning problems who want to argue for their limitations, who can't hear the suggestions I'm giving them for getting unstuck (BEEN THERE DONE THAT)!

Someone who is super-capable and has to do it all alone without any help yet needs assistance moving forward in their business (TOO FAMILIAR)!

One night a week ago, I found myself drifting in and out of sleep and doing Ho'Oponopono every waking moment.  It was a very effective solution to insomnia!  I began feeling waves of Infinite Love as I did it, which is what happens when I'm fully connected to Consciousness.

Which brings up the other part I want tie in, 'hearing and having'.  Havingness is essential to manifestation. It's taking ownership of your creations.  If you can own everything you create, the "good" and the "bad", you can increase your ability to manifest.  Without havingness, an endless parade of your desires can show up on your doorstep and you either don't open the door, disregard the gift, or not water the plant so it dies (to combine a bunch of metaphors).

The hearing part is, you've been told this before.  This information has been out there your whole life, and coming to you in many different ways.  It was there before The Secret DVD first came out.  It was there before Abraham-Hicks and before Seth found their channels.  When did you first hear it?  Have you heard it yet? When you can hear it, you can have it.

I always end my Ezine articles with a suggestion to 'try this for a week and see what happens'.  You don't really have to do anything this week.  Except maybe notice the matching experiences with everyone who shows up.  If you feel motivated to take the next step of releasing that energy from within your space, great.

Just see how your reality completely changes from that first simple step!

And email me what happens! joan@joannewcomb.com

Family Patterns

(c) 2009 Joan M. Newcomb

I was going to call this 'Patterns in the Morphic Field' but realize that Family Patterns was more on target. Our original patterns come from our families; there are other patterns out in the morphic field, but we only connect/attract ones that match the ones we carry around within us.

There's a pivotal scene in the original Matrix movie, when Neo is in a hallway looking at the agents who've shot at him. Suddenly the bullets stop in mid air and drop to the ground. Then everything around him changes to streams of energy. He started seeming things in patterns.

If you view everything energetically, not through physical eyes, that's probably what things look like.

It's helpful to think in terms of patterns because it becomes impersonal, which they are. It's like looking at the programming that creates a computer game or a CGI animated film

We create being born into families that have a myriad of patterns running. However we don't see them as patterns, we see them as 'the way things are'. We don't recognize them because it's just an accepted reality. For instance, you could choose a family that was American, Democrat, and Catholic and you would resonate with the larger fields of American, Democrats, and Catholics. You could go to another country and relate to Liberals and Catholics.

There are other prevalent patterns, as well. Diseases which can be passed down through families, such as alcoholism or depression. Behavioral patterns of abuse. And then you find yourself in the world relating to the larger fields of these patterns. They seem to show up everywhere, but really it's only because they're within you that you're engaging with them in the first place.

We carry our family patterns with us everywhere. We bring it into the workplace, school, any time we engage with others. That's why companies and organizations can seem like the biggest dysfunctional families, because in a way they are. People are playing out all their core patterns, mostly unconsciously, as they go about their jobs.

As you grow up you may grow away from some of your family patterns, but it seems there are always residues of it within you. 'Once a Catholic, Always A Catholic' has more truth than many recovering Catholics would like to admit.

You may be living your life as a serene, teetoling Buddhist, working for an environmentally friendly company and a voting member of the Green Party. But when a wedding or a funeral calls you back to Boston and your crazy Irish family, you find yourself swilling down beer and chucking the cans in the trash (instead of recycling) with the rest of them.

Your patterns re-emerged when immersed in the greater patterns. Your family didn't even have to be there, Boston alone could have held these greater patterns for you.

Another scenario is that you become a serene, teetoling Buddhist in order to step away from your Boston Irish origins, but every environmentally friendly company you work for has some hard drinking boss named O'Leary or Shaughnessy who drives you crazy.

How do you do this? First you have to recognize the patterns. They're often hard to see because they're so ingrained. Or you may be in denial that they're still there since you're living an opposite life from your childhood (like the teetoling Buddhist). Your Expanded Self helps you with this, by kindly creating situations that reflect these patterns back to you over and over again. If something isn't working in your life, if you keep walking down the same deadend streets in relationships or jobs, that's a big clue.

Patterns seem to have intelligence, they'll talk to you as voices inside your head. But when you shine the light of Truth on them, they tend to go silent (or change the subject). When you're aligned with your Expanded Self, you can feel the difference. Patterns are instinctual. Consciousness is not.

If you feel stuck or uncomfortable, it's a clue that you're engaging in a pattern. There are many ways to de-energize them. "Reclaiming power" by diving into the discomfort and then telling the truth about it, is one way. Questioning your thoughts, ala Byron Katie works well. EFT, TAT, EMDR, or NLP go beyond the intellect, so are excellent ways to dissolving patterns you can't see. Other energy techniques include grounding (releasing energy down into the center of the earth), or 'blowing roses, or pictures (imagine you have been viewing the world through old family slides or Super8 movies, and dissolve them). Matrix Energetics is a powerful way to transform your reality, as well.

As you de-energize, or reclaim power from, your internal patterns the external ones seem to fade away. Really it's because there's no longer a magnetic attraction within you. (Resistance is also an attraction - what you resist magnetically comes to you). You may be able to return to Boston, continue your daily chanting and drink green tea! Or you may find you're no longer invited to weddings and funerals, and it doesn't bother you a bit. You can actually stay with the same organization but everyone seems to respond differently, because you no longer have the pattern running within you. Or you do move on, because you attract a more healthy environment in which to work and play.

As you do this, you'll feel lighter, happier, and more joyful. You'll feel compassionate towards people's hardships but not weighed down by them. You'll feel detached from the world's doom and gloom headlines. You can become an even more effective Buddhist environmentalist (if that's what you are) because you'll be coming from an open heart, not reacting to an internal pattern.

So try this for the next week, noticing what is a recurring pattern or what is stuck, and try something different. Use one of the above suggestions or make up your own (playfully waving your hand out in front of you can actually break up energetic patterns)!

See what starts changing in your life when you do!

Morphic Fields

©2008 Joan M. Newcomb

Recently I’ve been seeing things as patterns, patterns in the morphic field. We are all energy, our physical bodies are dense energy, our personalities and emotions are less dense but still detectable, our spiritual/essence energy is more diffuse, but if you imagine seeing everything as electrons, or simply ’energy’, that’s what it all is.

We exist in morphic fields, which are unseen but definitely felt. Energy patterns will waft through our reality, affecting our feelings and behavior as well.

Groups have morphic fields, which will include different roles. People within groups have the option (note I said ‘option') of stepping into these roles - although they usually find themselves doing so unconsciously. If you have a matching resonance (experience) with the role, you’ll find yourself playing it within the group. When you start to be more conscious in the world, you realize you have the option of *not* playing that role, and can watch with amusement as someone else takes it on.

Recently I visited my mother, and noticed the energy within her house as very distinct and slow moving. She’s rented her place for at least twenty years, and retired about eleven years ago. Any place that’s been occupied for a long time will have a settled energy, and it’s even more so in my mother’s house.

Diseases have morphic fields, and dysfunctional families do, too. Western medicine has a morphic field. Years ago I was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid. The standard procedure at the time was a hysterectomy. I felt like I was being railroaded to a having one, and it took quite a bit of effort to step out of the energy flow. When I did, new possibilities appeared, my symptoms stopped and now everything is normal, all without surgery or medication.

Family patterns are morphic fields(also known as miasms). People from certain backgrounds will keep finding family patterns arising in new relationships or in the workplace as they haven't completely cleared themselves of the energy of their history.

The acceleration of energy at this time is lighting up these denser patterns, making them more obvious. Having just been in Washington DC, it was interesting to notice and learn, from talking to people who work and live there, how the impending changes have been effecting them.

If you’re strongly attached to your patterns, if you believe them to be real, it’s going to be more painful and difficult to let them go. Seeing them simply as patterns makes it much easier.

I was talking to a fellow Matrix practitioner who is also a local government worker in Virginia. She kept saying how "bad" the energy is there exhibiting a definite lack of neutrality! So I looked at the government energy around DC and saw it as white and metallic shapes. Not comfortable to me but not “bad”.

Non resistance helps you drop these energy patterns within you and also keeps you from magnetically attracting them into your life! When you are in a space of non-resistance and no-effort, it's as if your molecules separate and theses energies pass through you as easily as wind through a screen door!

As we approach the holidays, morphic fields around family, and traditions will arise. I invite you to practice neutrality by finding a way to be detached and amused, as if it's all a movie. See how different your experience is this year!

Breakdown, breakthrough

Breakdown, Breakthrough ©2008 Joan M Newcomb

Ever had periods of time where it seemed that everything converged at once? I mean, all your core "issues", or things you were working on, life lessons, all come up at the same time? As we expand, we encounter these challenging periods. I used to like to think of it as 'final exams', as if the Universe was saying 'did you *really* learn everything over this past few months or year?

However, I no longer think of life as a school and there are specific lessons we must learn.

I'm having a different experience of life nowadays, so as this most recent convergence occurred, I'm seeing it in another way. I've known for most of my life that everything is energy, however nowadays Quantum physicists are calling it the 'morphic field'. It's really a symphony of energy, with the deeper tones vibrating with such density that you can perceive them as physical form. Higher notes are perceived as light, but higher still (beyond the range of human hearing) it's what we'd term as Spirit. There are medium notes, which is emotional energy, and also aspects that we'd define as Personality.

Each of us is experiencing our personal symphony, emitting notes and attracting tones, and we perceive in terms of having a physical form, moving through patterns of reality we identify as our daily life and interactions with other people. In actuality, we're all of it. Beyond our persona, we're the orchestra, the music playing, the conductor and composer. All the other people are reflections of ourself, they're all energy patterns, too. That can be somewhat mind blowing to comprehend, so let's go back to our tiny instrument and our little portion of the tune.

From the Law of Attraction standpoint, we attract what comes to us by the thoughts we put out. The focus then goes to what tones we're emitting, and then focusing on sending out only specific ones (or thoughts) in order to manifest/attract what we desire. However, we encounter all these other melodies that have been going on in our section of the orchestra. Do we just ignore them and focus on our song? That's one way of doing it.

Convergence happens (yes, I knew you were wondering if I'd get to the point) when these other vibrational patterns collide with the new song we're singing. Resisting them solidifies them and makes them denser. The first step is to remember that it's all just energy, it's not reality, it's just our perception. The second step is to de-energize the emotion, because that's the glue that holds the illusion together. One technique, put forth by Robert Scheinfeld ("Busting Loose From The Money Game"), is to intensify the feelings, 'step into them' and then affirm the Truth - which is that it's all an illusion created by our Consciousness to convince ourselves that we're the opposite of Who we are. That we're an Infinite, Abundant, Powerful Presence, and we reclaim power from the illusion 'right here, right now'. Then you spend a moment appreciating the illusion and yourself for being so powerful as to create it.

Another technique, from my early Clairvoyant training, is to release the energy from the illusion either by imagining it as deleted, or imagine it as a series of photographs or film negatives, clip the corners and drain the emotions out of them, and then delete them. Some people like to 'highlight and delete' them, zap them with a phaser, or just have them -poof!- disappear.

Either way you're clearing your personal hologram, your part of the morphic field.

Viewing it this way depersonalizes things that happen to you. It takes the drama out of events. It neutralizes reactions to other personalities.

What's fun is that, when you start breaking through your illusions, things start changing in very amusing ways. Today I went to the post office and both clerks had closed signs in front of them. I had a bit of an interaction with both of them, and then I left as I was late for a meeting. (Time is an illusion, too, but that's a topic for another article).

My old thinking decided that I'd just get stamps from the grocery story later and guess how many to put on my envelope, so I could avoid dealing with the postal clerks. But I forgot to buy stamps with my groceries and found myself back at the post office, standing in line behind the mother of an ex-girlfriend of one of my sons. My old thinking wanted to pretend I didn't recognize her or know who she was (which was pretty ridiculous) but instead I found myself chatting with her about how her daughter was doing. Poof! Something de-energized and I didn't even know it.

Then I took my envelope to the one postal clerk I've had uncomfortable interactions with in the past and I assumed there'd be some residue from earlier in the day. Instead, it was a very pleasant transaction. She actually used the term 'appreciation' in our conversation (which I like to think of as validation from the Field that this is, indeed, an illusion).

Living this way you find that people change from scene to scene. They move in and out of your hologram and sometimes morph into totally different personalities (while retaining the same physical form). Circumstances change as well, so things that you may have predicted to be unpleasant turn out to be fine, and opportunities arise from nowhere (actually from another vibratory level in the morphic field). There isn't the same sense of cause and effect as in the old way of doing things. It's sometimes uncomfortably random. It's like going off the written music and improvising instead.

There's a reason why you're reading this, whether you consciously know it or not. You can act on this information, using the techniques I've suggested, or sit with it. Either way, your hologram is changing and transformation is inevitable!

Happy growth period, everyone!
