Manipulating Reality

Manipulating Reality ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

We all seem to be seeking change. We want aspects of our reality to be different. We try to make this happen, either by asking/invoking something outside of ourselves to do it, or by trying to do it ourselves. We use pure effort, we try strategies, we employ systems, we practice or we pray.

I taught techniques on how to create your reality for many years, which were very effective, until I went through a Consciousness Shift myself and those things stopped working. Then I learned (and developed) different ways to move through life to create different experiences.

And then went through a period of time when I was just responding to what showed up, with no motivation to try to change, fix, or manipulate reality at all.

Once in a while, though, I hit times when I feel highly motivated to pull out the old toolkit. One of those was recently, when there was a child abduction case in our neighborhood. Kids at a playground filmed on their phones an old, white, man in a hat and glasses, tying up a ten year old with duct tape, before putting him in a car and driving away.

When I got home and learned this, helicopters had been flying overhead for a couple hours as the police was searching for this guy.

I picked up different bits of information off of social media, all very disturbing, and at some point I kinesiology tested whether they'd find the kid. I got a yes. And then I tested whether he'd be alive, and I didn't get a clear answer.

Mind you, I was picking up on *everyone's* reaction to the photos, which didn't help my testing.

So I got pissed. I decided that I was going to manipulate the shit out of reality. I drew in an enormous amount of "power" and energetically picked up the man by the neck, and scattered his molecules. I may have threatened him with obliteration if the kid wasn't released, I can't quite remember. It was very quick and intuitive. But then I decided that *I* could step into a reality that had a different outcome - and suddenly the energy dissipated.  The charge wasn't there. It was done.

I was still quite shook up about it, so over then next twenty minutes I'd try one thing or another, but it all fell flat.

After that I went back on social media and discovered the police called off the search. The man turned out to be the kid's grandfather, and the story was that the kid was autistic and running into traffic so he used duct tape to subdue him. (CPS was now investigating).

So who knows what really happened but what I notice for myself is that *I* changed the reality I was experiencing, and then the story about what was happening changed. Even though there are still some shifty details to work out.

But here's the perspective from Consciousness - we're all Infinite Beings, including the 10 year old, the grandfather, and me. Myself as Consciousness created a story I became aware of. I created a response to it. I did some actions (or reactions).

The first part - fear, then rage, was *not* myself as Consciousness, but the part of me that was felt the need to draw on power that was outside itself in order to manipulate a story that was also outside of itself.

When the energy changed was me employing an actual Consciousness Technique - stepping myself into a reality with a different outcome.

Because you can't really change things by manipulating. I mean, you can move stuff around and make it look different, but the same core patterns will keep running, so whatever you want to avoid or fix will keep replicating in whatever you try to replace it with.

Playing in Consciousness is an art, it doesn't work if you're try to make it a system. When you're playing *as* Consciousness, you're at a level beyond thought, beyond your intellect, your mind machine "GPS".

Shifting yourself in this way creates results beyond what your mind can imagine.

Try this, this week, and see what happens.

Manifesting Effortless Miracles (Are Easier Than You Think)

Manifesting Effortless Miracles (Are Easier Than You Think) ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Four weeks ago I moved both my home and my office, and it feels like I've been sorting through boxes forever.  Today I excavated a bunch of notes from various training programs I've taken, and, my goodness, what a lot of information is in all those pages.

Just looking at them (not even reading them) feels overwhelming. And something I remember from one of the programs group calls was someone complaining how many hours she spent each morning implementing the techniques. She was meticulously doing *every*single*action* to make something happen in 30 days or less.

That's a good way to make nothing happen in 30 *years* or more!!

But we're so programmed to believe that if you work hard and do everything perfectly, good stuff will happen.

However, when you're working as Consciousness, the opposite is true.

Effort, and trying hard, stops your creativity as Consciousness. Perfectionism paralyzes us into inaction.

If you're trying really hard to magnetize your energy to attract something, effort repels it instead.

Consciousness works effortlessly. Actions taken as Consciousness are playful. Systems and processes only work if they're done with curiosity, and improvisationally.

Intentions need to be open-ended. Techniques need to be used with a beginners' mind. In fact, you often have to trick your mind, because it's the part of you that wants to be in control, it wants to KNOW exactly how to do it, and be very specific about what is going to be created.

On the Transformation Game  board, there's a Miracle Square, and when you land on it, you're instantly relieved of all your pain and can gracefully go forward to any step on your path that you choose.

Going forward as Consciousness, you have an infinite amount of Miracle Squares in front of you. And any step, in any direction, can effortlessly land you in a reality bigger than you can possible imagine.

Life for me now, is like a full immersion Transformation Game. Every morning is a new beginning. Every door a portal into a new reality.

Here's the thing, your mind wants directions, your mind wants a system. When you start to navigate as Consciousness, it will be VERY uncomfortable! It will throw up all sorts of thoughts to take you back to it's comfort zone, which is familiar but limiting.  Follow your heart, be intuitive, be spontaneous, and see what happens to you!

Wings with Feet - how to go after your dreams without tripping up!

Wings with Feet - how to go after your dreams without tripping up! ©2016 Joan M. Newcomb

We're in exciting times! We're all experiencing accelerated growth and change. To many people, this feels expansive and empowering. To others, they're completely freaked out.

This increased energy inspires us to go after our dreams. We can see the possibility out in front of us, and we make the quantum leap for it. We take off into the wild, blue yonder as if we had wings.

Making that dream a reality, bringing it back to Earth, requires landing gear.
Heart with Wings by Lederartisan

Some folks are always coming up with good ideas. They charge after them, filled with enthusiasm. Then, a few months down the line, they run out of steam. Their dream evaporates.

Some folks are magnificent planners. They get an idea for their great American novel, then spend the next two years researching it in minute detail. And never write a page.

Manifestation nowadays is easier than ever, so why are results so elusive?

Because the idea folks have wings but no landing gear. And the planners never get off the ground without wings.

Any manifestation requires a vision.  Consciousness communicates with images. Your vision communicates to your higher Consciousness your request. The clearer your vision, the better it is able to come into form.

Although visions can magically happen, the probably won't if you don't take any action. You may not know how your vision is ultimately going to manifest, but baby steps indicate your willingness to receive it.

Planning helps you prepare, helps you create the container to receive your request.  Yet, if you're freaked out by your own creative power, you're not going to bring your idea into form. You'll do a lot of busy work, running in circles, but not produce anything. You'll get distracted and do something else instead.

Making your dreams real require Visions, Actions, and Havingness. Havingness is the ability to have your Vision or desire. It's adjusting your energy so you can have it. Sometimes it requires letting go of everything keeping you from having it. Sometimes it requires you upping your energy to match the desired thing.

If you want to be in a relationship, you may need to clear that pile of books off your bed. You may need to join a few Meetup groups and get out of the house!

If you want to own a home, you may need to drive through a few neighborhoods and imagine what it would be like to live there. (You may also need to check your credit score and talk to a mortgage broker, but Consciousness can bypass some of those details in surprising ways if you're truly aligned).

If you want to increase your prosperity, you may need to look where you're acting impoverished. There's a difference between frugality and deprivation. It may not mean driving the latest BMW when you're buying groceries on credit cards.

Ultimately, expansion comes from within. Your body is your anchor in this reality. It is your focal point as Consciousness. Your dreams come from the realm of Consciousness. They come into form through your body.

Focusing on how you would feel if you had your vision is very powerful. It creates the emotional state within your body to generate the energy to bring it into being.

Play with this over the new few days and see what starts happening!

Making Stuff Real - Manifesting Ideas and Things

Making Stuff Real - Manifesting Ideas and Things ©2016 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

With the coming Solstice and Full Moon on Monday, I feel moved to write about the many ways we create reality in the physical realm.

Manifesting anything on this planet, whether it's a business idea or a garden, takes many elements. The soil or foundation that it's in, the water or fertilizer you give it, and the sun and the weather, which seem out of your control.

Traditional methods require specific steps, such as:
1. Thinking about it, coming up with an idea.
2. Research and Development
3. Design and Construction
4. Maintenance, etc.

We're translated that into Law of Attraction - type manifesting, with specific steps, such as:
1. Coming up with a Vision.
2. Creating a vision board or affirmations.
3. Giving regular focus to your Vision.
4. Determining baby steps and action, etc.

The difference between building something and with the Secret/LOA type manifesting is that in the Art of Allowing it to manifest you have to let it go. The magic is in releasing it to the Universe to be manifested.

People get stuck with affirmations because they can continue to keep whatever is desired out of reach. It keeps it as a wish rather than a vision coming into form.  Often their dream comes true when they quit working on it or give up. They've let go of trying to control the outcome and then it is "allowed" to happen.

There's an emotional component to manifesting in the physical as well. Add Feeling to your Vision and it seems to come about faster. If you feel wealthy, your life is more likely to become prosperous. If you feel doubt or fear, you may manifest something but it will have loopholes or distortions to it.

And, you can use the unseen energies of the moon cycles and the Solstice/Equinox cycle to boost your manifestations. You can set new intentions on the New Moon and see them come about by the Full Moon. You can align your personal growth cycle with Nature by calling in a new cycle of growth at the Fall Equinox, and be amazed at what comes to fruition by the Summer Solstice.

All of this, however, is working within the Hologram. This reality is created by Consciousness and you create your reality *as* Consciousness. As Consciousness, you have created this wonderful, complex design that uses biology and physics, but also 'mystical' frequencies, astrology that acknowledges the influence of planets and other celestial bodies.

Working within the Hologram means you utilize the prime directives of time and space. It's going to take time to manifest, and it's going to need room to manifest.

Creating as Consciousness, things seem to manifest out of thin air, and without any effort. You think of making a cup of tea and you walk into your kitchen to find that it's already made. The approach it different. You step into the Universe where the outcome is already in your favor, where whatever you want already exists. You change your state of being and your external state changes.

Time and space are reference points. You can send a parallel self out to do something so that when you get round to it, it happens almost instantaneously.

Making stuff happen as Consciousness means throwing out the rule book, and coloring outside the lines. There's no diagnosis that can't be changed nor prognosis diverted.

There's no urgency with this type of creating. You playfully approach whatever you want to make happen, curious about what will show up. Miracles are everyday and everyday is a miracle.

How do you get started Creating as Consciousness? It's as easy and effortless as reading this blog. You've just planted the seed, idea, or request. Now start noticing how it shows up!

Adventures in Density And Effort ii

Adventures in Density & Effort describes my belief of what life on earth is all about. I believe we are Spirit manifesting in this reality for the fun of experiencing the opposite of who We Are.

Spirit is immortal, eternal, and all knowing ( it *is* the cosmic internet). In the non-physical realm, there’s no time – everything is happening at once, and no space – everything is Unity, and no negative emotions – it’s all joy.

What would be fun or entertaining for Spirit, who has everything? To create a reality to experience dichotomies, limitations and opposites!

Physical reality is density, there are atoms and molecules and energy moves slowly or quickly. There’s physical space and distance, there’s the passage of time, cycles of days and seasons.

Our vehicle in this realm is our body which experiences effort to move its muscles, a life cycle of birth, growth and death, emotions of all colors, physical sensations of cold and heat, and each body has a unique personality to go with it. To One who is All that Is, it’s really quite delightful to be many different things!

As Spirit, you signed up for a road trip through life, and chose different elements and ‘stopping points’ along the way. Since you didn’t have a body yet, you didn’t have the considerations of pain and discomfort. From Spirit’s perspective, the harder the better. The more capable Spirit chooses the most challenging lifetime!

So you signed up to have a dysfunctional family, a crazy or alcoholic parent, to experience a traumatic childhood, painful relationships, difficult job situations, all with great enthusiasm and excitement.

Once being born, it’s WTF??? This is miserable! I don’t like this! Get me out of here! That’s all from the perspective of the body/personality. As Spirit, you’re still having a whale of a time.

Any challenge you create, within you is the ability to overcome it. Not from the body/personality perspective, but from your Essential Self, Spirit.
If you listen to someone complaining about their problems, realize that as Spirit they’re boasting about how capable they are! It’s like an actor that has taken on a really juicy role!

Now you have a chance to approach things differently. Once you operate with the awareness that you *are* your Essential Self, you *are* Spirit, the ‘rules’ change
This world isn’t a school, there aren’t grades you have to go through or lessons you have to learn, although it seems like there are skills you need to acquire. It’s actually a playground, a virtual reality game.

Effort doesn’t work on this level. Trying hard doesn’t work. It’s a much more subtle navigational system.

Law of Attraction is one way to describe it, but many people filter the LOA through their body/personality perspective of Effort. It’s like trying (example body vs. spirit) to fly with water wings.

Inner change creates outer change. It’s changing your energy within that alters your outer reality.

This is Your hologram and you’ve forgotten that you’re the one that programs the computer!

Real World Manifesting

Real World Manifesting ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

Think about all the things, people, and situations that you've created in your life. Some you can validate that you created - you graduated from high school, you got into college, you chose that (even if it wasn't the college of your choice, you made it happen).  If you got married, you chose that (even if you chose to get divorced later - and you chose that, too).

It's harder to validate that you chose being born, and you chose the family that you were born into.

Maybe you read Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, or listen to Abraham-Hick's Law of Attraction, Art of Allowing.  You put something on a vision board, or you imagined it in a pink bubble.  When it happened, you were pleased but maybe discounted the achievement as 'magic'.

It's more difficult to acknowledge that you created things that seem to happen spontaneously, or by accident.

Making things happen in the 'real' world takes hard work and effort. You set goals and take steps to achieve them. And if stuff happens to thwart your accomplishments... oh, well.

It's not helpful to say 'you create your reality', because when crappy stuff happens, you feel it's your fault. It's not accurate to say You are an infinitely capable being, because when good stuff doesn't happen, you feel like something is wrong with you.

The thing is - you are *both*.  At your core, you are an Infinite Being, and that's the aspect of you that created the reality you're in. Your body is your vehicle, your personality is the combination of pictures and experiences that you've created since before you were born.

You, the Infinite Being, creates your reality. Your personality wishes it were creating your reality.

How can you tell the different?  You, the Infinite Being, is amused and light hearted.  It's here for the fun of it. There is no time or space, so it's infinitely patient with it's creations.  This lifetime is happening in the blink of an eye, and it's simultaneously experiencing all lifetimees as well.

You, your personality, is serious. It's main focus is survival. It's not going to make it out of this lifetime alive. It exists in present time, the past is just a memory and the future is not real. It wants things NOW.

When you use energy techniques to manifest as an Infinite Being, it's done playfully. If it doesn't happen, no big deal.

When you use energy techniques as your personality, you are trying to make things happen. If it doesn't happen, there must be some outside interference.

Trying to make things happen by trying to maneuver your outer circumstances won't work. It's as effective as an actor pushing sets around on a stage.

Changing your energy from within, changes your external circumstances.

Look at the things you'd like to have in your life.  How will you feel when you have them? It's the feeling that you are going for.  You think you want the winning lotto ticket, but really you want to feel free. It's the energy of freedom you desire. And, as Essence, you *are* free.

You think you want the perfect relationship, but really you want to love and be loved.  It's the energy of Love you want. And, ironically, Love is already surrounding you and radiating to you (and from you), if you only take the time to notice.

Bringing something into form, manifesting in the real world, takes focus.  But not effort.  You are a thought, wrapped in love, and focused into density. You are loved, and you are loveable.

Make a list of the main things that you want in the key areas of your life.  What's the main feeling you want to have?

Give yourself the gift of those feelings. Imagine that *you* are in a pink balloon of freedom, or love, or whatever core energy that you want to have.

Try this for 7 days and let me know what happens!

Foundation and Freedom

©2011 Joan M. Newcomb

This is a pretty big topic, on many different levels.  We have this physical world, which to all appearances, requires structure in order to create form.  We have the non-physical world, the realm of Spirit or Energy, which is limitless, and yet is it what manifests form.

From the physical world perspective, manifestation requires effort.  It takes work to make something.  It requires time and materials to create anything, biological or technological or any other form.

From the non-physical perspective, it's instantaneous.  Reality takes place in the blink of an eye (and disappears as rapidly, as well).  In order to create from Spirit, it requires non-attachment, and no-effort (effortlessness).

A simplistic explanation is that 'thoughts become things'.  We have an idea, we give energy to it, and it shows up in our lives.  We think of something we don't want, and it shows up, too.  We view the world through our thought-perspectives, so that colors what we manifest as well.

Often when you let go of trying to attract something or someone into your life, it comes to you.  Why is that?  Because you've let go of effort and you've allowed the Universe to bring it.

When you focus on creating something, put all your thoughts and attention on it, and it doesn't come about, it's probably because you're holding on to it energetically, which keeps it as a desire rather than a reality.

Some people flop over to the other side in terms of letting go.  They release *completely* and just do whatever comes to mind.  Somethings things manifest, sometimes nothing does, they don't care because they're just enjoying the ride of life.  That works, too.  Or not.

Sometimes you need to create *inner* space for what you want to manifest.  You do all the above suggestions for creating wealth or a soul mate, but your inner life is 'a mess'.  You're up to your ears in credit card debt, or you're carrying resentments about your ex, those are indicators that you don't have room in your life for something different.

The non-physical realm is limitless and joyous, and represents freedom to us.  When we desire prosperity, we're really desiring freedom (freedom from worry, freedom from working at a job we don't love, etc.).  But when we think of what it would take to provide a foundation for that, it feels like restriction.  Why have a budget? Why keep track of a checkbook balance? If I win the lotto and am fantastically wealthy, I won't need any of that!  (Which is why most lottery winners are bankrupt within five years).  In actuality, structure brings freedom.  Being aware of spending opens up spaces for income to flow.  It's indicating to the Universe that you can handle more!

There's a difference between inner structure, where your inner life is organized, and external control.   One comes from Essence, and allows the real you to flow through, and the other comes from fear, which is a body-level experience.  Notice the difference as you navigate.

People feel the same way about commitment and relationships.  They get scared of committing because they think they'll be trapped.  In reality you are committing to *yourself*, and to being in integrity with your values.  Being faithful to your inner Essence can shift all of your relationships.  Those that are in alignment with you show up, those that aren't either transform or fade away.

All it takes is making a decision in the present moment, and taking the next indicated steps.  Becoming aware of your spending habits, making time to meditate, to spend enjoyable time with yourself, all you need to do is the first baby step, and go from there.

Foundation leads to freedom.  What can you do (shift, let go of, take action on) today to get there?

Wealth & Poverty

(c)2010 Joan M. Newcomb

A while ago I read a travel blogpost responding to a comment criticizing the blogger.  The comment said you can do all this traveling because you're a rich American.  Think about the people in the countries where you're staying, that redcap at the airport, the busboy at that restaurant, that desk clerk at the hotel, aren't able to travel.

The blogger responded saying, to the effect, that he'd rather hold a vision where everyone is able to travel.  (And I've also read that this guy only makes $40,000 a year, which is pretty modest by US standards).

Someone posted on FB an article to "Make Affluence History", that the only way to end poverty is to end affluence.  It then listed a bunch of suggestions on how you could do that, including telling your boss to cap your salary, skimp on consumption, and make a low-tech bracelet from an old bicycle tire.

The problem is, the people who would follow those suggestions aren't affluent to begin with.  They've actually poverty conscious ideas.  You don't raise vibration by bringing another vibration down.

And, with the current economy, it's bizarre that an article like this would come out, when so many in the US are experiencing poverty (or maybe not bizarre, just reflecting the mass poverty consciousness that's being projected right now).

The energy of poverty is contraction.  It's held in tight, a constricted feeling.  Everything is seen through the lens of limitation.  When you're poor, it feels like being hunched down, in a squatting position, for a very long time.

Getting out of poverty can be painful.  Standing up after squatting for a while, hurts.

The energy of wealth is expansion.  It feels like freedom, like release.  Everything is seen through the eyes of possibility.  When you're truly wealthy (more on that in a moment), you feel generous and giving.  You feel like anything is possible.

Now, there's an aspect of being wealthy that's the opposite of the description above.  There's a level of being wealthy where you are disconnected from your feelings; you have all the 'right' material things and social status, so you must be happy.  There's distorted wealth, where you can't empathize or feel compassionate towards others.  The reason that person is homeless is because they're not working hard enough, or that person doesn't have health insurance because they're too lazy to get it.  Distorted wealth is unconscious.

Distorted poverty is, as well.  Distorted poverty wants everyone to be down at their level.  They judge and feel resentful of 'rich people'.  If someone they know gets a raise, or starts to do better, they assume that person is going to become a snob.

Underearning is an aspect of distorted poverty.  Tolerating a low hourly wage or accepting a less-than-market level fee for one's services 'because of the economy', 'because people can't afford it', 'because I'm spiritual', is distorted thinking.

Being poor isn't noble.

Now there are people without much money who are happy.  There are villages in India and Africa with few material resources, who, if measured by their openheartedness, their connection to family, their awareness of Spirit, are wealthy.

There are people with vast amounts of money who are miserable.  They're concerned with having enough in their account for the entire year, and more focused on their portfolio than the actual quality of their lives.

Not all rich people are unconscious.  Bill Gates is putting his Microsoft billions into smart ways of helping elimate diseases and improve infant mortality overseas.  Warren Buffett is encouraging other billionaires, by example, to give most of their fortune away.  Richard Branson is an example of endless fun and enthusiasm and continuous creativity.

Now, from the perspective of Source, there is no good or bad to being rich or poor.  It's all an example of our Spiritual creativity.  As Spirit, we created this planet of dichotomies to experience the opposite of who We are.  From Spirit's viewpoint, it's fun to roll about in effort, we get excited by the challenges of limitation.  Because our Essence knows it's all a game.  The more challenges you creates in your life, the more spiritually creative you are!  Essence doesn't take any of this very seriously because, hey, in the blink of an eye this storyline will end and poof! We'll create a whole new lifetime to act out in.

If you go back to the essential qualities of wealth and poverty, they are simply energy patterns.  Wealth is expansion and freedom, poverty is contraction and limitation.

How do you break out of a limiting pattern, so you can experience more expansion?  It starts by seeing a bigger picture of your life.  It takes stepping out of your comfort zone, because what is familiar isn't always functional.

The energy of abundance is appreciation.  Whenever you pay for something, you're expressing appreciation for it.  Whenever you receive payment for something, you're receiving appreciation for it.  Think about this the next time you pay your bills.  Don't you really appreciate the things you purchased with that credit card?  Isn't it great having a place to live, and electricity and water?  Wasn't that a really delicious meal at the restaurant?

Rising out of poverty patterns takes appreciation, too.  Wow, I am so capable that I created this really complex storyline so I can't afford Christmas presents this year.  It is going to sound *great* when I write my memoirs!  Wow, not having a job is *really* uncomfortable.  I get to let go of the illusion of being (such-and-such career person).  How fun to step out of the limitations of 8-5, 50 weeks a year, into a realm of new possibilities.

Appreciation is one step towards increasing your own experience of wealth.  I enjoy a feeling visualization as well.  Abraham-Hicks says that prosperity is all around us, like Niagara Falls, but most of us are standing around with teaspoons.  Think of the powerful flow of Niagara Falls, and the ionized air around it.  Imagine that energy flowing into the top of your head and throughout your aura.  Imagine your space filled with this energy.  Let it's high vibration disintergrate any limitations.

What this is doing is raising your vibration so you can receive more in your life.

In order to have more money (or anything) you have to expand your ability to Have it.

Sometimes a technique for increasing money is to start spending it.  There's a misunderstanding to that idea.  On one level, expressing appreciation with money is telling the Universe that you trust more is flowing in, but some people compulsively spend everything they have and nothing comes in, because acting compulsively comes from poverty consciousness.  They're spending from fear, not generosity.  Tithing is more in alignment, because giving a small portion of what's coming in towards things that support you spiritually and emotionally is expressing appreciation towards Source (it's like leaving the Universe a tip for services rendered)!

Now, what happens for some people is they increase their monetary inflow, and immediately their expenses increase.  Because, what flows in, must flow out, right?

Instead of seeing Niagara Falls flowing in and then rushing right out again, imagine it flowing into a pool.  That way your money flow can 'pool' and you can siphon out whatever you need.

You can do this visualization remotely as well.  If there are relatives or communities you're concerned about, imagine Niagara Falls for them as well.

Play with these ideas this week.  Notice when you're feeling contracted or limited.  Allow yourself to breath in and expand.  Use the Niagara Falls (and pooling) visualization, whenever you feel like it.  Gift others with the visualization as well.

Try this for a week and see what happens!

Wallowing in Density & Effort

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

There's the Law of Attraction and the Power of Positive Thinking, which are valid spiritual tools that many people misinterpret.  One common mistake with Law of Attraction is to place one's focus totally on what one desires, so they're not energetically "home" to receive it!  You have to put your request out, and then let go of it, because holding on to it keeps it as a dream.  Only in truly letting go can you allow the manifestation to come to you.

With the Power of Positive Thinking, people can be so focused on the positive that they're in denial that they have any negative feelings at all. Putting a cheery smile on one's face and ignoring uncomfortable feelings doesn't make them go away, and doesn't help you create what you want.   Abraham-Hicks has an 'emotional scale' people can use to feel one's way up from despair to joy.

With Robert Scheinfeld's Busting Loose work, he has what he calls The Process.  Whenever you feel any discomfort, you let yourself really feel it.  When it builds to a crescendo, you interrupt (or break through) it by stating that you're The Power & Presence of God, or Consciousness creating everything down to the smallest detail.  You 'reclaim power' from the illusion, and then appreciate what a wonderful illusion it was!

The trick is to do the Process without any agenda or wish to change, fix or improve the hologram.

People get stuck in a couple of places with this.  They get stuck in fully feeling the feelings, but not breaking through them.  And they forget to appreciate the illusion.  They think they have to feel better before they appreciate, but just saying the words even if you don't think you mean them, helps.  Even just reminding yourself that you're Consciousness creating this down to the smallest detail helps enormously.

When you're wallowing in Density & Effort, you've forgotten that you're the Infinite Being who created all of this.  When you remember Who You Are, you'll find the situation funny or exciting.  Infinite Beings love challenges (as well as creative story plots)!

Do you perpetuate your own wallowing?

In the summer of 2004, when I was following Abraham-Hicks, I realized that I was always making up conversations in my head with people, telling them how terrible my life was.  There was nobody there!  I was making it all up!  I was telling a sob-story over and over in between my ears.  I was perpetuating my own misery!

From then on, whenever I noticed myself starting to daydream that way, I'd figuratively grab myself by the ears and change the subject.  And within a couple of weeks I found myself lifting out of a depression I hadn't acknowledged but been in for years.

This isn't the same as the Positive Thinking mistake of denying emotions, it's not making up stressful thoughts that create negative feelings.

Which part of you is wallowing in Density & Effort anyway?  Certainly not your Expanded Self/Spirit/Consicousness.  It's the the Player, the personality or as Eckhart Tolle calls it, the Pain Body.  The part that isn't You.  The part that believes Density & Effort is real, and that it's helpless to do anything about it.  When you identify with that part, you're letting it drive.  Is it really mature enough to have a license?

Wallowing is different than grieving, and different than peeling layers of the onion or dismantling layers of the cloud cover.  There's no growth or forward movement when wallowing.

How do you stop wallowing?  Grab yourself by the ears and tell a different story!  Act like your Expanded Self.  Remind yourself you're Consciousness, even if it feels like going through the motions.  Dive *through* the feelings to the other side.

Try this for a week and see what happens!

Giving and Receiving

(c) 2010 Joan M. Newcomb

There's a worldwide, grassroots network called Freecycle whose mission is to keep usable items out of landfills.  It's really quite an amazing phenomenon. People give away items they don't need, and people ask for items they want.

When I first participated, I gave away some (fairly good) furniture, because someone had gifted me theirs.  It was quite exhilarating to see the looks on recipients' faces; they couldn't quite believe they could have a futon sofabed or a recliner just for doing me the favor of carting it away!

And it's equally wonderful to see people receive items they've asked for, be it school supplies for their kids or an item for their home.  All freely given, freely received, no strings attached.

The energy of giving makes you feel better, pulls your attention away from your own troubles and into the abundant flow of life.  In 12 step programs, newcomers are encouraged to take on a task, like making coffee for their group.  It gets them doing something that other's appreciate.  And gives them a feeling of accomplishment that they're probably not experiencing in the un-manageability of their life's storyline (that caused them to come to the 12 steps in the first place).

Giving actually strengthens your connection to Source and increases your ability to receive abundance.  It's the principle that tithing is based on.  If you give away 10%, you find your 90% expanding.  Even if you can't quite manage 10% of your income, you can give your time or your compassion.  Gifts of service count towards the Flow.

As with everything, balance is needed.  We all know burned-out givers, who volunteer for everything yet can't make ends meet.  They need to learn to moderate their giving with receiving.

Receiving is essential for prosperity.  You need to be able to allow the flow come to you as well as out of you.  Gracious receiving validates people who give to you.  Even if it's a compliment. If someone says something nice to you, accept it and thank them (even if your tendency is to minimize it).

Receiving well sends a message to your subconscious that it's an abundant and benevolent universe.  It also increases your connection to Source.

A couple simple steps to increase your participation in the Flow:
*Give $1 or $5 or $10 away to a worthy cause.  It can be anything.  Put it in one of those plexiglas boxes at the convenience store, stuff it in the tip jar at Starbucks.  Do this often enough and the energy builds and opportunities arise as well.
*Notice how the Universe is giving to you.  Receive compliments.  Receive sunny days (yes, the Universe did make the sun shine just for you)!  Appreciate your surroundings, notice synchronicities.  Breathe them in and notice your inner expansion.

Out with the old, in with the new!

(c) 2009 Joan M. Newcomb

Today's a powerful day (in the illusion of things).  It's December 31st, the last day of the year.  It's also a Full Moon.  It's the 2nd Full Moon of the month, so a 'blue moon'.  And it's also a lunar eclipse! (If you're in Johannesburg or New Delhi, you're enjoying the view at the time I'm typing this).

I'm enjoying believing in astrology, so what I've picked up about Full Moon eclipses is that they pack the punch of 3x a regular Full Moon (and come only twice a year).  It indicates something in your life is coming to fullness or culmination.  Sometimes surprising or sudden changes happen on an eclipse.  Sometimes they happen a month to the date after (or before) the eclipse.  And they have a reverberative effect for the next 6 months.

Two weeks from now they'll be another eclipse, a New Moon solar one, that will indicate new beginnings.  So it's all good!

If you'd like to know more, I have some favorite websites where I get my information:
Susan Miller's Astrologyzone: http://astrologyzone.com which gives monthly predictions ("be sure to read your rising sign, too")
Astrodienst, from Zurich: http://astro.com which gives you detailed information based on your birth data.
The Cosmic Path, http://www.thecosmicpath.com/ which gives weekly & monthly predictions.

(That is, if you choose to believe in such things. You can decide on the Universe you choose to exist in; you could be in a parallel Universe where such things don't exist!)

Regardless, it's a good time to consider letting go of the past and moving forward into new creations.

Something I normally do at New Years is play the Transformation Game http://innerlinks.com either solo or, now that I'm married, with my husband.  It's a great way to focus for the coming year!

Energetically, it's important to release the past in order to have the space for new creations to happen.  Physically it's helpful, too.  There was this elderly woman who lives in a 4 bedroom house but never threw anything away.  She had a path from the back door to the kitchen, bathroom and her bedroom, but everything else was piled high with stuff of the past 50 years!  Your energetic space can look like that, too, if you don't cleanse and let go.

I'm not going to go into decluttering your  home, there are many other resources for that (http://flylady.com is a favorite of mine). There are lots of ways to energetically clear your space as well.

Ho'Oponopono http://www.hooponoponohelp.com/ is a pretty effective way to cleanse not only your inner space but patterns in the morphic field as well.

Robert Scheinfeld's Busting Loose model http://bustingloosefromthemoneygame.com does the same thing, different words, different language, ultimately clears your morphic field.

Releasing the old isn't like erasing memories, it's more putting them in the proper place (in the back of your aura).  It's de-energizing the emotion from those experiences so you're not wading around mired in past resentments, viewing the world through ancient "photographic slides" of your life.  What's great about the above two techniques is that you don't have to consciously know what you're clearing (it helps not to intellectualize).

Another simple technique is grounding, or what William Bloom calls "earthing".  Imagine an energy connection going from your lower abdomin (first/root chakra) to the center of the Earth.  Imagine it like one of those trash chutes chutes in old buildings that used to go down to the incinerator.   You can release imaginary trash bags filled with whatever you'd like to dump, down to the Earth's molten core.  Whatever you've release gets instantly transformed and recycled into beneficial energy for the planet.

You are 'lightening' your vibratory space, expanding and raising your awareness, and allowing in new and wonderful creations.  This is often the missing piece of the Law of Attraction, being energetically receptive to what you're attracting.

What happens when you do any (or all) of the techniques over time is that your life transforms.  In fun and magical ways.  Don't just do it on New Years, do it every day and any time it occurs to you (or you feel motivated to).  You can let go of the past and welcome new creations, regardless of the phase of the moon!!

So, try these (or make up your own) every day for the next week and see what happens.  And email me the results!  joan@joannewcomb.com

The Universe Works in Mysterious Ways

(c)2009 Joan M. Newcomb

I’ve had several serendipitous occurrences that verifies to me I’m on the right track.  When you’re aligned with Spirit, or connected to your Expanded Self, It gives you ‘cookies’ or validations.

The first was a mixup of dates.  At the end of October, I booked a mini-break out of town with my husband but forgot to write the exact dates down.  I thought it was the second weekend of December.  I scheduled a radio appearance for Dec. 5th, and said ‘yes’ to East West Bookshop to do readings there on Saturday the 12th.  Then I realised that’s when I thought  I’d be out of town, so I called East West before their Dec-Feb. calendar went to press and cancelled the 12th.  Afterwards I found the condo confirmation for mini-break and it was for the first weekend!

I decided I just had to go ahead and do the radio interview whilst on holiday, and regretted nixing East West, feeling it was too late to change things there as the catalogue was already printed.

Then I received an email from the radio host saying their show was being pre-empted for a football game and could we switch to the 12th?  Perfect.  And because of the time of the interview, I couldn’t have done East West that day as well.

Meanwhile, I’ve started an additional radio show of my own on Blog Talk Radio, just for giving free psychic readings.  My Contact Talk Radio show has had increasingly interesting (and well-known) guests, which have been filling the entire hour, leaving me no time to take listeners calls (or the guests take the calls, to promote their own services).  I’m booked until mid-February with guests, so I won’t be able to start scheduling new ones for just 30 minutes until then.

Just got an email from Mike Dooley’s publicist saying he’s no longer doing 60 minute interviews, only 30 minutes.  Perfect.  My January 12th show I can talk to him the first half, and do mini-readings for the rest of the show!!

The final occurrence isn’t fully formed yet.  When I decided to add the Blog Talk show to my schedule, I hadn’t anticipated how energetically demanding it would be.  I feel like I’m in a lot of effort which I assume is going to effect my ability to create.  However this week when I was the most tired and pressed for time, I had a full show of callers.  If effort is supposed to be a deterrent to spiritual creativity, I should have none.

I’m giving it to the end of the week to decide if I’m going to continue with it.   If it shows evidence of bringing in income, either calls for private readings, mystic mentorship coachingmatrix energetics sessions or signups for my new on-line class then I’ll continue. At this point what I may do is instead of 5 mornings a week, do less.

On the other hand, all this effort hasn’t yet yielded the income I’m desiring.  I suspect if I do *stop*, the flow will come in differently.  That’s what I’m anticipating for January when my rates go up.  Less readings but more income.  On the other hand, that’s also when I’m starting to teach my new on-line class, so that will require an acceleration of activity (recording video lessons, emailing students, etc.).

Sometimes an acceleration of activity doesn’t deter manifestation, but enhances it.  A key to Law of Attraction is, after putting out your request to the Universe, is to let go of what you desire.  If you’re too busy to think, you’re not dwelling on what you do or don’t have.  You’ve mentally ‘gotten out of your own way’, which allows the Universe to bring it to you.

Perhaps the main lesson in all of this is to just do it, move forward, do whatever you feel motivated to do.  Drop your preconceived notions on what the outcome is going to be or should be.  And notice what shows up instead!

Musings on Manifestation

(c) 2009 Joan M. Newcomb

Last Saturday I did readings at East West Books. I was very excited when I arrived, even though I only had one person signed up. I immediately gave myself a project (I made a calendar showing all the readers in all their time slots for the remainder of March) and then thought of a great new workshop to submit to East West for their next series of events. I was aware that I really wanted to talk to everyone in the store, but that my enthusiasm was a bit 'out there' so I went back into the reading room and tried to meditate.

I had the inspiration to take all this energy, which was spurting out all over the place, and run it through my solar plexus. I remember this flash of concern when I did it, like taking my own energy and running it through my inner space would make it disappear. Instead, what happened was I calmed down and shortly afterwards people started signing up for readings and I was busy non-stop for the rest of the day.

The next Wednesday I wasn't quite so brimming with excitement, but I had the intuitive hunch to show up early and to be prepared not to take a break. Only 3 people were signed up but the moment I started reading additional folks signed up and I went right up until my stopping time.

I didn't do any special energy work, I didn't send out pink balloons or create affirmations or use any unique manifestation techniques. I just shifted my focus and things started happening.

A typical but ineffective way of creating your reality is to put your focus onto what you want to happen. You create an affirmation or a vision board, and you keep it in your consciousness all the time. Except, in so doing, you are using the energy of effort, which kills spiritual creativity. And you're not letting go of your desire, so you keep holding it as a wish rather than releasing it to become reality. It's tough to let go of your dream, but that's what needs to happen if you want it to come into form.

There's an additional element to all this - in focusing on what you want to manifest, you're somewhat resisting what you already have. You're trying to change, fix or improve your present creations, which invalidates them and keeps them stuck.

Your Expanded Self is delighted with what's currently in your hologram. Even the most uncomfortable aspects of your life, your Expanded Self is going 'Yeah! Bring it on"! Because as Spirit you have no ethics, and everything is your creation, so the most challenging dilemma is just evidence of how creative you are. You, the You that is more than you, *loves* difficulties and discomfort.

That's not exactly accurate. You, the You that is more than you, just loves playing the Human Game and is enjoying every aspect of it. You, the you that you usually identify with, has preferences and resists when things aren't going your way. Resistance and discomfort are an indication that you're out of alignment with the Essence of who you are, your Expanded Self.

When you relax and trust that all is very, very well, that everything is unfolding exactly as it should, suddenly things start to feel a lot better and "good" things start happening. Abraham-Hicks calls is 'turning down stream', others call it 'going with the flow', I like to think of it as your little will aligning with your Higher Will.

And a simple way to do that is to bring your focus back to yourself, your present moment, bring your energy within your own space. Drop all those people and projects you're trying to help make better. Those people have their Expanded Selves, too. Your projects (if they're yours) are already, on some level, complete. Releasing them helps them to unfold as they should, too.

I invite you to take a moment now to just imagine releasing everyone else to their own reality. Bring your energy back from all those other places into your own space. Take a deep breath and imagine anything not yours dropping out of your space into the center of the earth, where it can get recycled. Notice how that feels.

Try *not* affirming or intending this week, and see what shows up!

Divine Interventions

©2008 Joan M. Newcomb

Cameron Diaz was once asked about the ending of a relationship she'd had and she said, "I don't have breakups; I have Divine Interventions"!

Much of my life since age 14 has been self-directed, and yet at times certain things will occur that totally send me on a different path. Psychiatrists deciding at age 16 I should not live at home, a boyfriend getting hit by a car at age 19, a schedule change at work leading to total burnout at 35, discovery of a secondary addiction in a relationship at 38... Things outside of my control, or contributing to a 'final straw', and shortly afterward my world is transformed.

I think about how this relates to Free Will vs. Divine Will. Free Will gives us each the ability to create our reality and to use Law of Attraction to manifest what we desire. However, I notice that my manifestations are effortless when my personal Will is aligned with the higher Will. When I'm attuned with the Infinite, then I'm in agreement with this higher Will; I want what It wants for me. When I'm trying to manipulate or control my surroundings, make things better because they currently suck, it's more like I'm spinning my wheels in the mud than really moving forward on my path.

Which makes me conclude that really it's my Expanded Self, my inner Divinity, that's really running the show.

I do get the picture It's looking over us like an adult watching toddlers in the playground. They can fall and get bruises, they can get stuck on the slide or be sad there's no seats left on the swings, but It won't intervene unless it's time to go do something else.

What would it be like to just relax in the knowledge that one's Expanded Self is really overseeing everything, bringing to us exactly what we need in the moment? We could be free to play in this playground 'Earth' going on whatever ride we want to, knowing that when it's time to do something else, our Expanded Self will redirect us.

Instead of having to struggle to pay the mortgage or resolve your relationship with your mother, what if you just did what you felt motivated to do in the moment? And trust that if you to do something else, you'd be doing it. Big, invisible hands would pick you up and put you in another part of the playground. The phone would ring and your mother would be morphed into someone really nice to talk to!

I see this world as a virtual reality game for an Infinite Consciousness wanting the experience of being the opposite of what it is. Each of us *is* that Consciousness, and whatever we're doing or being or feeling is providing great enjoyment and pleasure for our Expanded Self. We can't make mistakes or do something wrong, because it's all part of the game.

When you relax into that awareness, your reality completely changes. Interesting synchronicities occur as validation by your Expanded Self you're on the right track. At first there may be some (or a lot of) discomfort as the old limitations and restrictions fall away, but pretty soon you're in alignment/agreement with Consciousness and it becomes a delicious ride!

So, try this out for the next week. Maybe take baby steps - don't quit your job or stop paying your bills unless you're really strongly motivated to! But perhaps take a day this weekend or moments of time over the next few days and approach your life playfully, trusting your Expanded Self to do the driving. See what happens - you may find yourself having a lot of fun!

Being In Receptive Mode

©2008 Joan M. Newcomb

One of the things that happens when people start practicing the Law of Attraction is that they put all their focus onto what they want to attract. They get the idea that they create their reality through their thoughts and immediately start thinking of prosperity, and all the goodies that go with it.

This may work a little bit at first, but usually what happens is they get frustrated their stuff isn't getting here fast enough. So they try harder, making their vision boards, saying their affirmations, staring at their mind maps. Then finally decide it's all a bunch of horseradish and quit.

That's not how Law of Attraction works. In fact, it's the opposite. It's using body-level exertions to work a spiritual-energetic tool. It's like using a chisel and hammer to work on your internet connection.

When you try hard at anything, you're using the body-level energy of effort. Effort is required by your muscles to get your body out of a chair, and works fine to push-start a car, but has the opposite effect when applied to high vibrational techniques. It stops them from happening.

That's why many of your manifestations happen when you no longer need or want them. You've taken your attention off them and the Universe finally has a chance to release them to you.

When you focus intently on something, your point of awareness goes into that item, and out of yourself. You're no longer 'home' in your body or your life. So the Universal Parcel Service doesn't have the address to send your desires to you! And if they're left at your doorstep, you're not home to receive them.

That's what happens when you actually get what you want, but you can't have it. You finally manifest Mr. Right, but your life is such a shambles he doesn't stick around. You win the lotto but haven't handled your shopping addiction or learned about investing, so it's gone within the year.

The trick (and it isn't really a trick) is to know what you want (the thought alone is an email request to the Universe via the Cosmic Internet). Then focus within yourself to prepare to have it.

I call it being in receiving mode. Generating an energy of receptivity, of drawing in that which you desire. Abraham-Hicks calls it delicious anticipation. I've called it 'raising your havingness'. Ultimately you don't have to do anything, and your life rearranges itself so that things fall into place, including what you've asked for.

People find this happening automatically when they get off the fast track. When they consciously slow down to enjoy life. Choosing to start the day with meditation or a cup of herbal tea and journalling instead of espresso and the news, brings this about. Turns out much of what you desire you already have in some form or another, but you've been too busy to enjoy it!

So try these suggestions -
Stop thinking about what you don't have.
Stop focusing on all the terrible things happening in the world today.
Start enjoying the present moment - even in tiny increments
("the leaves are so pretty right now", "this tea tastes so good", etc.)
Let yourself Know that the Universe is on your side and supporting you beautifully.

Taking pleasure in what you do have attracts more pleasurable things to you. And that's what Law of Attraction is all about.

Appreciation

©2008 Joan M. Newcomb

This article was going to be about Appreciation vs. Gratitude, as the Canadians just had Thanksgiving and we'll be celebrating it next month in the US, but today I've been overwhelmed with information from John Edward, and he says "Communicate Appreciate Validate".

Which is a slightly different meaning, but I'll try to weave it all together.

First off, gratitude means to express thanks, and appreciate is more about acknowledgement, being aware of, holding in high regard. When you're expressing gratitude, you're thanking someone or something, but the energy implies that something outside your reality created it or gave it to you.

Appreciation, in the way I meant to write about it, was to notice things in a more expansive way. As the creator of your reality, you can appreciate what is going on in your life. You can appreciate the world around you as this marvelous creation, with the sense that You, the Creator, designed it down to the smallest detail for your own enjoyment. Appreciating yourself, the creation of your body and personality, as this amazing vehicle for navigating this reality. It's no fun being in physical reality without a physical body to feel it fully!

As you appreciate yourself, and your hologram (the setting and the storyline), you draw to yourself more to appreciate. It's what people miss when applying the Law of Attraction (okay, that's next week's topic: Being in Receptive Mode).

So the point I wanted to make was to encourage people to shift their focus from power outside to power inside. Appreciating yourself as the powerful creator and appreciating everything in your life as your own creation. You begin to love *everything* that happens and *everyone* who comes into your awareness, because you come into alignment with your Expanded Self, and You are the one who created everything.

Okay, now I can address 'Communicate Validate Appreciate'. John Edward's focus is on people who've passed (something I've already talked about in a recent post). Communicate - it's okay to talk to dead people, they like to be acknowledged. They respond, not necessarily in words, but in images, impressions, insights and symbols showing up in your life. It *validates* their existence. You may want to write down what you feel they're saying to you, because it validates it as real for you - there it is, down on paper, you didn't make it up. And appreciation in this case is holding in high esteem, valuing, which is much easier to do with those who've passed. There's no longer the (sometimes irritating) personality, just their bright, shiny essence.

As I like to say, they're easier to talk to and harder to hear. My sense is also that the longer it's been since they've passed, the more diffuse their energy, but that's only my experience. I still see silver PT Cruisers (yesterday yielded a bumper crop) but my dead friend Ian feels wispier, more on a thought level than a feeling level (although he's showing up big time as I'm typing this).

Byron Katie says that when ever she things of loved ones that passed, the tears she sheds are one of joy, not loss. She experiences them as delightful 'visitations'.

Which, apparently, is the point I'm supposed to make in this article. No one is ever gone, they've only passed beyond the physical. You can't see their form, but you can sense their essence. The more you communicate, validate, and appreciate, the more real these connections become.

Someone wrote me after the last article on this topic and said 'what about the one's you *don't* want to communicate with?' I think she was nervous that she'd have to talk to her least favorite dead relatives! Just don't focus on them, and they don't show up. However, you may be delightfully surprised that former unpleasant personalities are much nicer on the non-physical. My grandmother was bossy and controlling in life, but her energy is much gentler now. When she was in body, she'd had decades of painful experiences that caused her to be harsh. Once she passed, all the darkness dropped away, leaving only her brightness.

Okay, the pressure is gone from my head, so I must have said what I was supposed to say.

One last tidbit from me is, tying back to the earlier topic, when you're aligned with your Expanded Self, which is your own light essence, then you can see how everyone in your hologram is you, a reflection of you, because they're all sparks of light, too. We're all one Consciousness, that created this reality for the fun of experiencing dichotomies and opposites. And I'm going to stop there, because *that's* another topic, as well!

Breakdown, breakthrough

Breakdown, Breakthrough ©2008 Joan M Newcomb

Ever had periods of time where it seemed that everything converged at once? I mean, all your core "issues", or things you were working on, life lessons, all come up at the same time? As we expand, we encounter these challenging periods. I used to like to think of it as 'final exams', as if the Universe was saying 'did you *really* learn everything over this past few months or year?

However, I no longer think of life as a school and there are specific lessons we must learn.

I'm having a different experience of life nowadays, so as this most recent convergence occurred, I'm seeing it in another way. I've known for most of my life that everything is energy, however nowadays Quantum physicists are calling it the 'morphic field'. It's really a symphony of energy, with the deeper tones vibrating with such density that you can perceive them as physical form. Higher notes are perceived as light, but higher still (beyond the range of human hearing) it's what we'd term as Spirit. There are medium notes, which is emotional energy, and also aspects that we'd define as Personality.

Each of us is experiencing our personal symphony, emitting notes and attracting tones, and we perceive in terms of having a physical form, moving through patterns of reality we identify as our daily life and interactions with other people. In actuality, we're all of it. Beyond our persona, we're the orchestra, the music playing, the conductor and composer. All the other people are reflections of ourself, they're all energy patterns, too. That can be somewhat mind blowing to comprehend, so let's go back to our tiny instrument and our little portion of the tune.

From the Law of Attraction standpoint, we attract what comes to us by the thoughts we put out. The focus then goes to what tones we're emitting, and then focusing on sending out only specific ones (or thoughts) in order to manifest/attract what we desire. However, we encounter all these other melodies that have been going on in our section of the orchestra. Do we just ignore them and focus on our song? That's one way of doing it.

Convergence happens (yes, I knew you were wondering if I'd get to the point) when these other vibrational patterns collide with the new song we're singing. Resisting them solidifies them and makes them denser. The first step is to remember that it's all just energy, it's not reality, it's just our perception. The second step is to de-energize the emotion, because that's the glue that holds the illusion together. One technique, put forth by Robert Scheinfeld ("Busting Loose From The Money Game"), is to intensify the feelings, 'step into them' and then affirm the Truth - which is that it's all an illusion created by our Consciousness to convince ourselves that we're the opposite of Who we are. That we're an Infinite, Abundant, Powerful Presence, and we reclaim power from the illusion 'right here, right now'. Then you spend a moment appreciating the illusion and yourself for being so powerful as to create it.

Another technique, from my early Clairvoyant training, is to release the energy from the illusion either by imagining it as deleted, or imagine it as a series of photographs or film negatives, clip the corners and drain the emotions out of them, and then delete them. Some people like to 'highlight and delete' them, zap them with a phaser, or just have them -poof!- disappear.

Either way you're clearing your personal hologram, your part of the morphic field.

Viewing it this way depersonalizes things that happen to you. It takes the drama out of events. It neutralizes reactions to other personalities.

What's fun is that, when you start breaking through your illusions, things start changing in very amusing ways. Today I went to the post office and both clerks had closed signs in front of them. I had a bit of an interaction with both of them, and then I left as I was late for a meeting. (Time is an illusion, too, but that's a topic for another article).

My old thinking decided that I'd just get stamps from the grocery story later and guess how many to put on my envelope, so I could avoid dealing with the postal clerks. But I forgot to buy stamps with my groceries and found myself back at the post office, standing in line behind the mother of an ex-girlfriend of one of my sons. My old thinking wanted to pretend I didn't recognize her or know who she was (which was pretty ridiculous) but instead I found myself chatting with her about how her daughter was doing. Poof! Something de-energized and I didn't even know it.

Then I took my envelope to the one postal clerk I've had uncomfortable interactions with in the past and I assumed there'd be some residue from earlier in the day. Instead, it was a very pleasant transaction. She actually used the term 'appreciation' in our conversation (which I like to think of as validation from the Field that this is, indeed, an illusion).

Living this way you find that people change from scene to scene. They move in and out of your hologram and sometimes morph into totally different personalities (while retaining the same physical form). Circumstances change as well, so things that you may have predicted to be unpleasant turn out to be fine, and opportunities arise from nowhere (actually from another vibratory level in the morphic field). There isn't the same sense of cause and effect as in the old way of doing things. It's sometimes uncomfortably random. It's like going off the written music and improvising instead.

There's a reason why you're reading this, whether you consciously know it or not. You can act on this information, using the techniques I've suggested, or sit with it. Either way, your hologram is changing and transformation is inevitable!

Happy growth period, everyone!
