True Confessions on Time, Energy, and Money.

Time, Energy, and Money ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

My husband took the week off from work, before letting me know. I had a Telesummit scheduled for Tuesday, and my radio show Wednesday, plus my regular calls and meetings, so my calendar was super busy.

I work from home and it was challenging to maintain my focus with him being in ‘staycation mode’. I made it through the Telesummit but when my radio show co-host suggested that we air a rerun rather than a live show, I heartily agreed.
In Port Townsend, the house behind us is haunted!

After completing my regular calls Thursday, hubby and I took a “daycation” up to historic Port Townsend, and yet on the way I had this nagging feeling I was playing hooky - that I should be working.

Now here’s the thing, I work for myself, I work from home, my schedule is entirely my own. No one's gonna fire me for taking a day off.

I decided to record our show live on Wednesdays (although we do have to fit into an available spot in our radio station’s lineup), I decide I write my blog and send out my Ezine on Fridays. I choose to host Meetups on Saturdays or Sundays, I usually film my YouTube videos on Tuesdays (although the last two weeks I didn’t, due to the upcoming Telesummit).

True Confessions: NONE of these activities actually PAY ME. They’re all designed to support, help and enlighten others. And if someone decides to hire me for coaching, great.

Ironically, a lot of people I work with have money issues. When we shine a light on them, it often reveals they have trouble with their focus on time, and how they spend their energy.

Sometimes they have six figure incomes, but are miserable. They either hate their jobs, or hate their commutes. Or they’re spinning their wheels trying to make an income, feeling like they're going nowhere. They struggle with compulsive spending, credit cards, or underearning and deprivation.
They have confusion about the money or debt they do have, and vagueness about where their time is going.

As they gain clarity about their numbers and their actions, their circumstances rapidly improve. They feel feel more prosperous and abundant with less effort and stress. Because it actually isn't about the money, it's about the quality of their lives and relationships.

I spend my time and energy in ways that prioritize my relationships with my husband and now adult kids. I make choices based on my expanded perspective as Consciousness. I have a prosperous life and feel wealthy with my relationships.

My coach describes his schedule as "fiercely lifestyle friendly", which basically means that if it's going to compromise his values, he isn't going to do it.

I suspect he uses the word 'fiercely' because of the enormous morphic "work ethic" field that says you have to put in long hours, with a lot of effort and sacrifice in order to create a good life.

That nagging feeling I had yesterday? I was reacting to the same message, same morphic field.

As with anything in this world, the opposite is true.

The harder you try to attain something, the farther away it will be. Effort kills creativity. We give up so much power to these 'work ethic' ideals and completely miss the point that we're Infinite Beings and this world is our playground.

Realize that *you* are Consciousness and all the power is within you, not out there.

If you work a job-job, try being there as Consciousness, and see how it alters the experience for you. You may find it being more playful and fun.

If you're looking work, try approaching the interviews as Consciousness, and see how the dynamic changes.

Try prioritizing what's important to you, rather than what you think the world thinks is important, and watch how rapidly your life reorganizes in your favor.

When you use your time and energy as the infinitely creative and powerful Consciousness that you are, your world transforms.

Play with this for the next 7 days, and see what happens!

Why There Is No Karma

Why There Is No Karma ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Humans are always interpreting the world through their linear viewpoint. It's like fish interpreting the Universe from their underwater perspective.

Physical bodies move through time from birth to death, and we expect spiritual reality to be governed by the same restrictions.

Our personalities have flaws and we make mistakes as we stumble through this life. And Karma assumes that these carry over to the next lifetime. Just as it assumes that such things carry on from previous lifetimes.

From the perspective of Consciousness, this makes no sense. Consciousness does not experience time nor space. To Consciousness, all lifetimes are happening at once. Consciousness is all knowing, all wisdom. There are no progressions, spiritual learning or maturity or development.

The idea of Karma is a distorted interpretation of energetic cause and effect. If you are under water and you wave your hands, there may be a ripple created, but it doesn't carry up to the air above, and nor does it carry to the next pond (or ocean).

And Consciousness it ultimately neutral. It doesn't judge things as 'good' or 'bad'. Everything that happens in the physical, to Consciousness, is beneficial as experience. Pain isn't good or bad. Destruction is as creative as Construction.

The idea of 'good', 'bad', 'sin', etc. is a human distortion. Which doesn't mean we all can go careening off our life paths and creating rampant chaos in the world. We can, but do we want to?

The Ten Commandments, if you look at them as Consciousness, is man's interpretation of ways to interact within time and space. These are basic guidelines for navigating on this planet and discerning "mine" from "yours".

I find when you shift your perception to operating as Consciousness, there's both a disintegration of boundaries (an awareness that we are One) and clarity of our own definitions (the particular body-personality we're navigating through at this moment).

And from this perspective, there's no desire to cross boundaries, destroy other bodies, covet neighbor's asses, or anything else.

As greater Consciousness comes into form, everything falls into place, everything reorganizes, there's an innate harmony to everything.

But what about all the bad people out there? What about all the horrible, terrible things they're doing? Aren't they going to be punished?

Imagine going high up in the air, what would the news headlines be like from flying in an airplane? The idea of punishment doesn't make sense from above the clouds.

This planet is a playground, an adventure in density and effort. In Disney World, you wouldn't punish a Disney character for playing their part in the storyline.

Actually, Consciousness experience with the world is more like viewing it all from the International Space Station.  There's immense love for all of creation.

As you shift your perception, you experience more neutrality about the stories going on. You have a  appreciation for all aspects of this worldly existence. And, most fun of all, as you realize that *you* are Consciousness, this immense love for all of Your creation.

Life is an Experiment By Consciousness ©2017 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

This world is an adventure in density and effort. Consciousness is creating it moment to moment. Consciousness creates through focus, and the more Consciousness is coming in and focusing, the more "awake" we feel in this playground.

This world is not solid and real. Time and space are structural components and yet, the more Consciousness comes into form, the more we discover how malleable these structures are.

I've been describing this planet as a full immersion virtual reality game. But the game is infinitely more complex than we can imagine. We're used to playing by rules and on a certain level these rules seem to still be intact.

The past is in the past, the future is in the future, and we seem to exist in the present moment. And people's whose bodies are no longer alive seem to no longer exist. There are times, however, where you can sense past loved ones, where you could say the 'veils are thinner'.

However, I am noticing as we collectively shift into a higher vibration, the past and future seem to bleed through to the present. At times like these, I can not only acutely feel passed loved ones, I can actually feel them from times they've been alive.

Consciousness exists both outside of your body and within your body. It is You, with a capital Y, within form, and the greater yoU, outside of form. Outside of form, outside of physical reality, outside of time and space. And able to perceive everything existing simultaneously, all past and future possibilities.

Whoa.

As we shift in Consciousness, the old rules no longer apply. Systems and formulae no longer function.

We're seeing this reflected in our storylines by observing unprecedented actions. We're observing people are certain egoic levels trying to act as powerful as Consciousness. At the same time increased intolerance for behaviors that negate or disempower individuals.

We are all Consciousness, and when we own it we are infinitely powerful. Yet when we own it we feel no need to dominate. We are *all* Consciousness, so as greater Consciousness comes into form, so does the drive to connect and collaborate.

It's not accurate to liken this world to a theme park like Disneyland, because there are the rides are rigidly controlled and the experience is replicable.  This world is an experiment of infinite possibilities.

When we think of it like a game, then we want to learn the rules and game the system. When we see it as an experiment, we enter it as Consciousness, playfully curious and open minded.

Try being playful and open for this next week and see what happens!

Nobody's Ascending Anywhere

Nobody's Ascending Anywhere ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

One of my readers asked me some great questions "what's going on vis-a-vis the overall evolution of mankind. Are some" developed" people going to ascend by 2024?  2014 has passed and we're still here."

I answered this in a recent Mystic Minute Video, and wanted to spell it out more clearly here: ain't nobody ascending anywhere.

Yes, we talk about an acceleration in Consciousness. We talk about the vibration rising, getting more sensitive and Aware.  But the impression is that at some point we'll become so advanced, we'll just vibrate out of our bodies and disappear into the 5th Dimension.

That's how it feels to our bodies and from our personality's perspective.  We can't imagine existing at a higher vibration, we can't comprehend anything but 3-D.

Consciousness is already 5D. Consciousness is beyond the hologram, outside of D altogether. Even D is part of the illusion.

Consciousness embodies reality but is outside of it as well.  In Consciousness, there is no time or space, everything is happening at once.

So whenever we try to put things into linear measurements, it's our personality trying to figure it out. Oh, I must be going up in vibration (no, Consciousness is coming more into form).  Oh, I must be ascending, I must be developing more (no, you're just experiencing yourself AS Consciousness more, and as Consciousness you're infinite, beyond levels of development).

Back before 2012 they said some people weren't going to make it. They imagined mass destruction. All limited and undeveloped people would die.  And, dangit, the politicians and religious fanatics are still here.

Although, if you notice, they're all going more crazy than before. That's because their old paradigms and rigid belief systems are disintegrating and it's freaking them out.

And, guess what, they're Consciousness, too.

To our bodies, and our personalities, it feels like things are going faster. Time progresses that way, to form.  But past, present, and future, is all happening simultaneously to Consciousness.

The best way to handle this it to be in present time, in the NOW. You're body feels calmer when focused on the present moment. When you do that, things feel like they're slowing down.

Play with this all - viewing life from Consciousness, being Present, for the next seven days and see what happens!

What do you people WANT?!?

What do you people WANT?!? ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

A couple months ago I organized an event on Vashon Island, to serve a small group there.  I was excited because I was bringing people from Seattle to help and I felt it would be a big support for the islanders.

Everyone had agreed on the day, and I had to jump through a few hoops to reach out to the Seattle folks, who essentially had to take 6 hours out of their day, plus ferry fares, to do 2 hours of community outreach. I do this nearly every Saturday, coming from Tacoma, but I lived on Vashon for nearly 30 years, so it's a different experience for me.
What we think we need

It turned out to be a wonderful experience, the Seattle folks were enchanted by the island, which was lovely to see.

However, half the folks on the island didn't show up. One person, eager for the support, came from Gig Harbor, to receive the information.

What happened?

Maybe they didn't want it? Maybe they didn't know what they were missing. Clearly, it was my idea (but not their idea) to help move them forward.

One of the Seattleites said, "Maybe they don't know what they're missing. Maybe when they want it bad enough, they'll come to Seattle for it."

Yeah, maybe. I was trying to establish a support group on Vashon, so I felt the event needed to happen on Vashon. Which was entirely my agenda.

Maybe the folks on Vashon need to learn to go to Seattle (or Tacoma) for support; it's what I had to do when I got started.

But here's the bigger picture: when you are trying to achieve your goals, when you are going for what you really want, shit comes up.

You get scared, you get mad, you get resistant, you get judgemental, you get critical. You hide, you space it out, you oversleep, you overschedule. You tell yourself stories about what's going on, about yourself, about others.  You ______ (Fill in the blank).

In short, everything that's keeping you from getting what you want.

You may be so overwhelmed, you don't even *know* what you really need. If you are struggling with basic life issues, you may not have enough clarity to have a clear picture of what you truly want.

When you're stuck on the hamster wheel, all you can think about is getting off the wheel. You can't imagine what's possible for you.

Of course, you may want to get off the hamster wheel and rest!  But the hamster wheel has exercised your muscles to take you forward on your life (it just won't require as much effort).

Real World Manifesting

Real World Manifesting ©2015 Joan M. Newcomb

Think about all the things, people, and situations that you've created in your life. Some you can validate that you created - you graduated from high school, you got into college, you chose that (even if it wasn't the college of your choice, you made it happen).  If you got married, you chose that (even if you chose to get divorced later - and you chose that, too).

It's harder to validate that you chose being born, and you chose the family that you were born into.

Maybe you read Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, or listen to Abraham-Hick's Law of Attraction, Art of Allowing.  You put something on a vision board, or you imagined it in a pink bubble.  When it happened, you were pleased but maybe discounted the achievement as 'magic'.

It's more difficult to acknowledge that you created things that seem to happen spontaneously, or by accident.

Making things happen in the 'real' world takes hard work and effort. You set goals and take steps to achieve them. And if stuff happens to thwart your accomplishments... oh, well.

It's not helpful to say 'you create your reality', because when crappy stuff happens, you feel it's your fault. It's not accurate to say You are an infinitely capable being, because when good stuff doesn't happen, you feel like something is wrong with you.

The thing is - you are *both*.  At your core, you are an Infinite Being, and that's the aspect of you that created the reality you're in. Your body is your vehicle, your personality is the combination of pictures and experiences that you've created since before you were born.

You, the Infinite Being, creates your reality. Your personality wishes it were creating your reality.

How can you tell the different?  You, the Infinite Being, is amused and light hearted.  It's here for the fun of it. There is no time or space, so it's infinitely patient with it's creations.  This lifetime is happening in the blink of an eye, and it's simultaneously experiencing all lifetimees as well.

You, your personality, is serious. It's main focus is survival. It's not going to make it out of this lifetime alive. It exists in present time, the past is just a memory and the future is not real. It wants things NOW.

When you use energy techniques to manifest as an Infinite Being, it's done playfully. If it doesn't happen, no big deal.

When you use energy techniques as your personality, you are trying to make things happen. If it doesn't happen, there must be some outside interference.

Trying to make things happen by trying to maneuver your outer circumstances won't work. It's as effective as an actor pushing sets around on a stage.

Changing your energy from within, changes your external circumstances.

Look at the things you'd like to have in your life.  How will you feel when you have them? It's the feeling that you are going for.  You think you want the winning lotto ticket, but really you want to feel free. It's the energy of freedom you desire. And, as Essence, you *are* free.

You think you want the perfect relationship, but really you want to love and be loved.  It's the energy of Love you want. And, ironically, Love is already surrounding you and radiating to you (and from you), if you only take the time to notice.

Bringing something into form, manifesting in the real world, takes focus.  But not effort.  You are a thought, wrapped in love, and focused into density. You are loved, and you are loveable.

Make a list of the main things that you want in the key areas of your life.  What's the main feeling you want to have?

Give yourself the gift of those feelings. Imagine that *you* are in a pink balloon of freedom, or love, or whatever core energy that you want to have.

Try this for 7 days and let me know what happens!

Shrinking and Expanding Time

Shrinking and Expanding Time ©2014 Joan M. Newcomb

What is time?  Is it something that measures our days, or is it an imaginary creation by Consciousness?

I had an experience this morning waiting for a client call.  Watching the time on my laptop, it was 8:59am for what seems like several minutes.  I glanced away for just a second and when I looked back it was 9:01am.  What happened?

.
Our experience of time is a creation of Consciousness.  Time flies by quickly when we're having fun, time drags on when we're bored.

After life threatening experiences, people shift their experience with time.  Some will slow down, to experience and savor every moment.

Some will speed up, to make sure they don't miss anything available to them in the physical realm.

The thing is, when you are in the present moment, it can feel timeless, expansive, and yet not take a lot of time.

Sometimes people slow down because they're actually scared or resistant.  Sometimes people speed up because they're in pain.

If you fully center inside yourself, in Presence, fear and pain disappear.

And use of time seems entwined with abundance.  Chronic underearners will be vague about time. They don't value their time.

I became very disciplined about time when my sessions became more expensive.  An infinite amount of transformation can be achieved in 30 minutes.  And change continues to happen days, weeks, months afterwards as well.

A simple technique for playing with time is to imagine silly putty (it can be any color, I prefer mine to be sparkly purple).  If you need more time to do something, imagine stretching it out.  If you need something to go by (or occur) more quickly, then squeeze it small.

If you do this from a space of fun and joy, this can have miraculous results.

Try this whenever you're feeling playful this week, and see what happens!
