True Confessions on Time, Energy, and Money.

Time, Energy, and Money ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

My husband took the week off from work, before letting me know. I had a Telesummit scheduled for Tuesday, and my radio show Wednesday, plus my regular calls and meetings, so my calendar was super busy.

I work from home and it was challenging to maintain my focus with him being in ‘staycation mode’. I made it through the Telesummit but when my radio show co-host suggested that we air a rerun rather than a live show, I heartily agreed.
In Port Townsend, the house behind us is haunted!

After completing my regular calls Thursday, hubby and I took a “daycation” up to historic Port Townsend, and yet on the way I had this nagging feeling I was playing hooky - that I should be working.

Now here’s the thing, I work for myself, I work from home, my schedule is entirely my own. No one's gonna fire me for taking a day off.

I decided to record our show live on Wednesdays (although we do have to fit into an available spot in our radio station’s lineup), I decide I write my blog and send out my Ezine on Fridays. I choose to host Meetups on Saturdays or Sundays, I usually film my YouTube videos on Tuesdays (although the last two weeks I didn’t, due to the upcoming Telesummit).

True Confessions: NONE of these activities actually PAY ME. They’re all designed to support, help and enlighten others. And if someone decides to hire me for coaching, great.

Ironically, a lot of people I work with have money issues. When we shine a light on them, it often reveals they have trouble with their focus on time, and how they spend their energy.

Sometimes they have six figure incomes, but are miserable. They either hate their jobs, or hate their commutes. Or they’re spinning their wheels trying to make an income, feeling like they're going nowhere. They struggle with compulsive spending, credit cards, or underearning and deprivation.
They have confusion about the money or debt they do have, and vagueness about where their time is going.

As they gain clarity about their numbers and their actions, their circumstances rapidly improve. They feel feel more prosperous and abundant with less effort and stress. Because it actually isn't about the money, it's about the quality of their lives and relationships.

I spend my time and energy in ways that prioritize my relationships with my husband and now adult kids. I make choices based on my expanded perspective as Consciousness. I have a prosperous life and feel wealthy with my relationships.

My coach describes his schedule as "fiercely lifestyle friendly", which basically means that if it's going to compromise his values, he isn't going to do it.

I suspect he uses the word 'fiercely' because of the enormous morphic "work ethic" field that says you have to put in long hours, with a lot of effort and sacrifice in order to create a good life.

That nagging feeling I had yesterday? I was reacting to the same message, same morphic field.

As with anything in this world, the opposite is true.

The harder you try to attain something, the farther away it will be. Effort kills creativity. We give up so much power to these 'work ethic' ideals and completely miss the point that we're Infinite Beings and this world is our playground.

Realize that *you* are Consciousness and all the power is within you, not out there.

If you work a job-job, try being there as Consciousness, and see how it alters the experience for you. You may find it being more playful and fun.

If you're looking work, try approaching the interviews as Consciousness, and see how the dynamic changes.

Try prioritizing what's important to you, rather than what you think the world thinks is important, and watch how rapidly your life reorganizes in your favor.

When you use your time and energy as the infinitely creative and powerful Consciousness that you are, your world transforms.

Play with this for the next 7 days, and see what happens!

Manifesting Money and Miracles! It's Not About The Money

Manifesting Money and Miracles: It's Not About The Money ©2018 Joan M. Newcomb, CPC

Part of my Total Transformation coaching program is a training on Manifesting Money and Miracles. I've worked with many people who were struggling with debt or compulsive spending.

They all thought the solution to their problems would be a winning lotto ticket.

But a ton of cash wasn't what they really wanted. Whatever you think you want to manifest, it isn't about the money.

When they shifted their focus to operating as Consciousness, what they discovered surprised them. Their lives reorganized in ways more perfect than they could have imagined.

"It's *like* I've won the lottery," more than one of them has said to me.

This world is one of dichotomies, where the harder you try to make something happen, the less likely it is to manifest. When you run after the thing you desire, it's apt to disappear. It's all mirages and rainbows out there.

Manifestation as Consciousness requires you to do the opposite of what you would normally do operating as a personality in a body.

That doesn't mean you spend your days meditating on your navel. Although spending some time each day (or spontaneously throughout the day) shifting your focus will create definite results.

What you notice as you begin living as Consciousness in form, is that things effortlessly show up in your life. You don't have to try.

You feel expansive. You feel a sense of well being. You feel clear and fully present.

This is hard to understand when you're tied in knots, not answering your phone in fear of the IRS or creditors. Debt is a big vacuum, sucking dry your ability to create. It feels impossible to climb out of the wreckage of your finances.

When you shift to navigating life as Consciousness, abundance easily flows. You find you have everything you need, even more than you thought you could have. It shows up in ways you don't expect, from places you hadn't considered.

You realize that it's not about the money. It's about the quality of your life.

Living as Consciousness, life is abundant. You feel prosperous, regardless of the numbers in your bank account. Oh you still can have the house, the car, the trip. But the experience of these things is so much richer from the perspective of Consciousness.

The way you know you're on the right track with all of this, is that synchronicity increases. When you're aligned as Consciousness, you find yourself in a constant state of amusement as life becomes a string of serendipitous occurrences. They're reminders that this world is a holographic creation of Consciousness.

And it all starts with shifting your state.

How To Have A Rich Life

How To Have A Rich Life (c)2015 Joan M. Newcomb

I'm in Madrid, visiting my son.  Spain is a great place to recover from jet lag. Their sense of time is totally different than the US.  Their workday starts at 9am, their lunch break is from 3-5pm, then everyone goes back to work until 7:30 or 8pm.  Dinner is at 9pm or later. They get 26 days of holiday/vacation per year.

Compare that to the US where the average workday is 8am-5pm, with a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks. And, if they're lucky, 14 days of holiday/vacation annually.

It is a more relaxed rhythm to the day, and to the flow of life in general.

It feels like the US is driven by consumption and production. What do you do? How much do you make? Where do you live? We are evaluated by these things.  Spain seems to focus more on quality of life, family and friends.

Madrid is a noisy city, which would normally drive me crazy. I'm highly sensitive to sound and empathic vibration.  There is no tension here, no anxiety. There is space to be.

It's fun to see the life my son is creating here.  I recognize my kids as capable beings who came into this life with their own inner wisdom, and life intentions. I manufactured their body, gave them their initial 'driving lessons', but their road trip through life is their own creation as Consciousness.

What do you value in life?  What are your choices?

What we spend our money on, and how we spend our time, reflects our values.

We may love our family, work very hard to support them, but not spend quality time with them.  Unless you count running them to soccer practice and violin lessons quality time.

What we *don't* spend money on, and what we neglect,  also reflects our values.

You can have a low salary and a rich life.  You can have effortless abundance.

If you are feeling dissatisfied or unhappy, perhaps your externals are in conflict with your internals.

You don't have to make sudden changes to get back into alignment with your Essential Self.  Small steps have profound results.

You may need to take some time to even know what you want!

This week, notice how you spend your time (and money).  Are your actions getting you what you really desire?

Our outer life reflects our inner life.  Any external disagreement or power struggle reflects that we are  out of alignment - or coming into alignment - with our Inner Being.  Sometimes, as we begin to be more true to our heart, relationships and circumstances that aren't aren't true start to chafe.

Spend more time with your Self and inner communication. That may be journaling for 5 minutes a day, taking a walk without your phone or earbuds, working in your garden or painting.

Take tiny steps this week and see that happens!
